While I respect the optimism expressed in the final portion, I don’t share it. I don’t think our enemies are going to wait around until we figure things out and get back on track. The hole we are digging is getting deeper with others just waiting to fill it in on top of us at the bottom.

Oh dear God, after watching those two recruitment commercials, I think we’re screwed! I love your optimism, Bill, but I just see too much willingness to obey our vicious, evil, narcissistic, psychopathic overlords among the populace to share in it. Nevertheless, because I put my trust in the saving grace of my Lord, Jesus Christ, I am able to look beyond to a much better future – just not necessarily here, on this earth, as a citizen of this once blessed nation.
To push your blind analogy a little further, the problem, as I see it, is that a blind soldier with a gun is a very dangerous thing with respect to friendly fire.

If the final episodes fast forward a few decades and wealthy black Americans think that white people are too stupid to get photo ID, get angry at police shooting criminals who are trying to murder white people and teach in schools athat being black means being racist who could possibly dislike such enlightenment?
