Is this letter real? Some are saying it isn’t. Do we have any actual verification? Not defending BLM, they are evil and abhorrent either way…just wondering.

When has the BLM movement ever done anything good for POC’s? Those Ivey league schools are already segregating the students according to race and denying certain students of certain races admission. Those Ivey league schools are lowering their standards for admission and graduation for students of certain races so they can get through school and not flunk out which defeats the purpose of an Ivey league education. Employers know this.

The parents of that school district and any others that received this letter need to realize that they are not in a negotiation. It is either capitulate or fight.

And let’s see if the white Lefty parents learn the lesson I mentioned below – the danger of building coalitions based on identity politics is that eventually your allies run out of other people to hate

And Bill’s remarks at 12:00 reminded me of the Cargo Cults of WW II fame.

Go to an Ivy and you get connections that ensure a good (or at least) prosperous life.
Give people who can’t qualify for a housing loan a (subprime) loan and they will become responsible homeowners (and I presume some fraction of them did). Etc.

Having been in sales most of my working career, a “positive’ approach is essential, as Scott knows. I am still amazed at the mind set of the BLM followers who do not understand what the BLM movement is really about…a Marxist destruction of this great country. As a believer in ALL lives matter, the sooner one obtains a “work” attitude the better, and this usually comes from the family. Getting a degree usually opens more doors , unless that degree is in philosophy, gender studies, or racial equality. I’m retired, but if I had to start another business, it would be in the “trades”….and be your own boss! Let all those colleges and universities crank out “liberal” degrees and good luck in the job market! I hope we all get through the next 3.5 years with the Left in charge….sometimes it is difficult to remain an optimist.

Apparently those ‘Studies” degrees lead to well paid sinecures as college executives in Diversity, Inclusiveness, and Equality positions. But since that stuff has been around since at least 1986, I think they should all be fired, either because
1) they have already done a great job instilling the proper attitude among all staff and students, so they are no longer needed; or
2) they have failed to instill said proper attitude and are thus incompetent and should be fired and/or replaced.

Bureaucrats who have achieved their intended mission should be fired because they are no longer needed. Bless your optimistic heart.

The other problem with “studies” degrees is that like high school -> college -> pro sports, the supply vastly exceeds the demand. Eventually you get squeezed quite small to fit through that funnel and those big loans just don’t fit.

The educational quality of the Ivy’s has dropped precipitously.

Case in point… did anyone read Michele Obama’s senior thesis before Princeton made it unavailable? My daughter’s first public presentation for 4H, when she was in the third grade, was infinitely better argued.

Ivy league schools have large enough endowments that they could bring in all the “POC” they wanted every year and not feel and pain. They are already having to cook the books on entry to downgrade kids of Indian / Chinese / Japanese heritage, since they were taking spots from the white kids. I guess Asians aren’t POC when it doesn’t suit the narrative.

Maybe it’s just my conservative morals and mindset, but what gives these people the authority to tell me how to run my life? The way I look at any of this crap is if it’s not going to put me in jail or get me killed, I’ll do as I please and to hell with what they think. Years ago, I tried to warn people about the direction Common Core was taking our kids and nobody listened. After my son graduated, I just stopped trying. It was like screaming at a wall and not even getting an echo. Locally, all the people who were running for the school board never let their position be known as to what they supported or how they felt about CC.

Now that it looks like I won’t be alive for the 2022 elections, the whole political scene doesn’t matter to me any more.

In Jerusalem, an English female journalist heard about an old rabbi who visited the Wailing Wall to pray, twice a day, everyday, for a long, long time.
In an effort to check out the story, she goes to the holy site and there he is!
She watches the bearded old man at prayer-and after about 45 minutes, when he turns to leave, she approaches him for an interview.
“I’m Jane Collins from the BBC, sir, how long have you been coming to the Wailing Wall and praying?” For about 50 years, he informs her.
“50 years! That’s amazing! What do you pray for?”
“I pray for peace between the Jews and the Arabs. I pray for all the hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship.”
“And how do you feel, sir, after doing this for 50 years?”
“Like I’m talking to a brick wall.”

Huh… That made me think. Where is the Trump library going to be? And what will it look like? OR. Will the Trump library be made up of bunches of smaller attractions in each the Trump properties?

Remember the meme of Trump Tower in Greenland? That’s what I picture. It will become a tourist mecca! LOL

History has shown that leftist activists after demanding and achieving entry immediately begin ejecting and denying entry to their ideological enemies. It isn’t about equality it’s about power.

I bet membership of the BLM org is plummeting fast. I also wonder how many people that got the letter said: How do they know my name? How do they know I’m white? What part of my Hispanic name does not sound Hispanic?!!

I would agree with you. The story about the head honcho with multiple houses was a headline leader, but there was another story I read about some of the chapter heads suing the national org because the funding they were promised wasn’t showing up. Some people are probably being disillusioned and silently dropping out, but the “eating their own” phase might get loud and messy.
