This goes out to any of the members on here misfortunate enough to live in the state of Illinois and more specifically Cook county and more specifically still, the 22nd state house district. I’m thinking hard about running against the crime boss Mike Madigan. I live in Burbank just inside his district, is anyone else on here local that I can collaborate with?

The best choice for your personal one is YourName.com. Then your campaign website should not contain the office you are running for or the year but the words elect, vote, or vote for in some form. This way the website can remain and retain supporters if you have to change districts or change the office you run for or the year you eventually run.
So next step for you is to buy the 2 Names and decide on a web hosting service. The names will run you $15-$20 per year and the hosting $15 per month. After that you’ll need a email marketing service to start collecting email addresses of supporters and staying in touch with them. Mail Chimp is a popular one but they have gone woke already and de-platformed some conservatives. Right now I have no suggestions.
I would suggest that you get on GAB and start a channel where you can post videos. You are probably looking at having to do all your publicity without any help from the local media.

Fantastic, that’s all good info which I hadn’t considered. I was debating reaching out to the state republican party to see if they had a candidate in the hopper already and to help with finding until Bill made the video about citizens promising to only run for one term. There’s a Facebook page (for now) basically devoted to getting this guy out of office and another for general IL politics, (Lincoln Lobby and IL Policy) which could be a source of grass roots donations. I’d posted a few weeks ago now asking if anyone else lived in this district besides me and didn’t find any takers, but rather a lot of expressed support from people elsewhere in the state who couldn’t physically run themselves. The good news is Madigan only got like 30k actual votes in 2020 and per the election rules I’d only need something like 1500 signatures to physically get on the ballot
