Since his nursing home policies and coverup haven’t been in the news much, I don’t expect action there, but when the tide started turning and the legislative leaders announced impeachment hearings I suspected it was only a matter of time.

As long as he had big people on his side, he could deny and try to wait it out, and that has been an effective strategy for others, but with actual evidence, witnesses and the rest, even though the AG was a spineless political creature trying to imitate Jim Comey, everyone else knew he had to go or he would be used against them in upcoming races.

He is down at least one layer (fed to state) from where Hillary was, and his actions are understandable by everyone and publicized. Hers were mostly neither.
