Can Progressive Policies Defeat Donald Trump, the Post-Policy President?

The Washington Post says Democrat presidential candidates have deep policy divisions, but do policies even matter in a battle with incumbent Republican President Donald Trump, the post-policy president?

The Washington Post says Democrat presidential candidates have deep policy divisions, but do policies even matter in a battle with incumbent Republican President Donald Trump, the post-policy president? He’s a force of nature, but Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Andrew Yang, Beto O’Rourke, and the rest of the gang, debate by magnifying policy preferences that distinguish them from each other. And which policies should Republicans campaign on to ensure the president enjoys majorities in the House and Senate come 2021?

Bill’s wonderful non insurance health plan was proposed in 2017-18 when the Republicans had both houses and was voted down. The Republicans that voted against it are now gone, forced to retire. But they have been replaced with other opponents to reform. Lobbyists rule.

Bill, you took my breath away. I hadn’t heard mention of the health insurance plan where you pay the doctor directly since 1960 when I was a 17-year old college freshman on the debate team. The topic was “Resolved: The United States should adopt a national health care plan” and I argued “No, hell no. You think things are bad now, wait until the government takes over.” However, inasmuch as I allowed that there were problems, I offered a repairs plan which included, among other things an “Open market, free competition, and doctors being paid directly by patients to keep them healthy.” My partner and I won every debate except one in that year.

Bill, you should make a Firewall immediately about the health insurance solutions you breezed through in this episode. There are other ideas to be included, for sure, but something like this needs to be available to share.

Does it dawn on anyone that there are more members in the party of evil than any other party? Why didn’t that party implode when they added “safe, legal and rare” to their platform? Does anyone reading this realize this is evil hiding in plain sight? The answer is that John Q Public is oblivious to the curse of God’s strong delusion (2 Thes 2:11) which means there is NOTHING more unifying to wicked people than celebrating abortion. If John Q Public wasn’t delusional, he would flee the coming wrath and repent (Rev. 16:11). The truth is, progressivism is continuing to grow because John Q Public has changed the truth into a lie (Rom. 1:25) and there’s no argument, no matter how eloquently articulated by Bill, that can wake John Q Public from his coma. Mark 9:29 speaks to Demoncrats: “This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.”

Some people believe that it is not a solution unless the Government grows enough to make the problem worse. Which is then used as a justification to grow Government still more.

GOVERNMENT IS THE PROBLEM! Government can ONLY make things worse because it can only keep things from happening and CANNOT make things happen without stopping even more things that need to happen to make things better.

Crime needs to be stopped. Put Government in charge of crime: *poof* crime is reduced to a background problem.

Disagreement needs to be adjudicated. Put Government in charge of adjudicating disagreement: *poof* disagreement is reduced to a background problem.

Foreign aggression needs to be prosecuted. Put Government in charge of prosecuting foreign aggression: *poof* foreign aggression is reduced to a background problem.

Putting the Government in charge of anything else and it is a slow disaster in the making. Especially if the right thing to do is make the right things happen, at the right time, for and by the right people, for the right reasons.

As always: Government is a dangerous servant and a deadly master. ALL of human history proves this to be the case 100%. Yet far too many people still think Government is the answer. Do they really know the question? I don’t think they do. If they do, these people are really evil rather than accidentally evil.
