Just an FYI concerning the name change on my account.
I was going through several of my account settings on other platforms and blogs with the aim of increasing what little security and anonymity I have when online. It isn’t much but changing to Petraone, a nick-name of mine, was done along those lines. I am sure I am not the only person who receives unsolicited emails and phone calls from marketers who I never requested ANY INFO or PHONE CALLS from. Hopefully, these changes/updates will stem the tsunami at least a little.

The irritating thing is, once your number/email address are out there, they get sold over and over again to others. I set up a few email addresses just for this reason so all of the junk goes into one email that I can just dump. As far as robocalls go, I just keep adding them to my blocked list.

Yes, I agree and am aware of the fact that my contact info is “out there” and is being passed around from place to place/person to person more than a collection basket at church with opposite results and intents. I also block numbers the make it to my phone and my service provider (AT&T) also labels certain calls that originate from probable telemarketers. (must be robocalls) However, it is sound practice to change passwords and other info that can be changed periodically. At least that has been suggested to me by people who understand such things better than I do.
The rule of thumb for changing passwords, in the corporate world at least, is every 6 months. Since I’m a cashless person, I also change my debit card every 6 months as well. Oh, the hoops we jump through!
