Chi-Com Olympic medals deserve an asterisk.

I watched some Olympic weightlifting today and noticed something: the Chinese lifters (without exception) lifted more and heavier weights than anyone else competing, and their physiques looked like they were chiseled from marble slabs.  Given the history of communist countries in the Olympic games concerning weightlifting (think Soviet dominance in the 20th century), and having nearly 50 years of experience in weightlifting/bodybuilding, I know when a person is using steroids/performance enhancing drugs.

Here is a clue as to why the Communist Chinese weightlifters can lift so much weight:

If you don’t want to believe me look at Olympic weightlifting history, where the Soviet Union won hundreds of medals in the Olympic games for years due to their state-sponsored doping programs. Look at the East German women’s swim teams of the 1980s – they were given steroids by their communist government coaches and they won many medals, but their lives were ruined:

It all comes down to communist ideology: win at all costs, i.e. lie, cheat, steal, rape, murder, etc. Any time communists get in power look at the atrocities they commit on their own citizens! I’m not attacking the athletes, they have NO choice but to comply, it’s the evil communist governments that are the criminals here.

Watch the news headlines in the coming months and see the drug test results for China’s Olympic teams, there will be many positive results for doping, I would put money on these.

Remember the Winter Olympics controversies in the Seventies? When some of the East German “female” Nordic skiers looked more like lumberjacks in drag and when a number of national team officials started demanding that the East German “women” be subjected to chromosome tests to verify that they were really female. I seem to recall that a lot of Olympic medals had to be returned and awarded to the rightful winners. These days, they can simply say they’re transgendered and keep the gold and silver.

It’s happened much more recently than the 80’s. Russia had a huge doping scandal in the 2008 Sochi olympics I believe. For anyone interested I would highly recommend the documentary on Netflix called Icarus. It is about an American bicyclist who in order to expose how much of an issue doping is filmed himself working with a crazy Russian scientist to develop a doping regime that would beat even the toughest of olympic tests and he would show how much it improved his performance while not failing drug tests. This Russian scientist ended up being the one responsible for doping a lot of Russia’s athletes in olympics and ended up fleeing to America and blowing the whistle on everything and how they beat the test and how even Putin was aware of the whole thing. He is still in the witness protection program here. Some of his colleagues in Russia had sudden “heart attacks” and didn’t live too long after this scandal came out. The documentary goes over all of that and its really interesting. It’s really crazy what these communist/socialist countries will do.

I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if China is doing it now, especially with how much power they are trying to accumulate. The olympics and all professional sporting leagues need to take a tougher look at this issue.

Now with this current olympics, I think the doping is less of an issue compared to the fact that men are competing in the women’s weightlifting competition. Doping is very bad and a major unfair advantage but not quite as big an advantage as having a male body is in a women’s weightlifting competition.
