China is going dark.

In the best case of karma known to man, China is suffering rolling blackouts and brown outs because it has banned Australian coal. Australia and China got in a big diplomatic tiff. So big it includes a Chinese General calling for the bombing of Australia with nuclear weapons in the main communist Chinese party news paper. Generals don’t get to make threats in the party news piece without permission.

China then banned all Australian imports. 30% of China’s imports come from Australia. Without Australian resources China starves in the dark and they can’t even make an empty iron rice bowl. We sell them coal, iron ore, wool, wood, all kinds of food including most of their dairy. All that Chinese stuff selling at Walmart has a lot of Australia in it. 

We sold them these things though Hong Kong. That was part of the driver of the crisis. When China annexed Hong Kong it voided all the contracts. Australia was paid not in Yuan but in Hong Kong dollars and with the annexation of Hong Kong that is no longer a recognized currency in most markets. Australian firms in Hong Kong also managed to evacuate all the staff, family’s, friends and all the files. Whole million dollar companies have moved to Sydney. Australians have been complaining about Chinese buying up Australian property. Now they are here, living in those houses and or selling them to get Australian dollars. Their move was planned years ago. 

However that was really only the last trigger. There are dozens more:

• China still has not paid for several ship loads of wheat it bought in the early 2000’s.
• It got caught buying up Australian PPE before the pandemic went public.
• It sent planeloads of infected people to Australia. Some think China was trying to infect military sports men and women at the Wuhan Military Games. The timing is very suspicious. 
• It diverted chemicals used for making toilet paper and used it to spray on roads and footpaths to ‘kill’ the virus in coastal china. Australian companies had already paid for those chemicals. This triggered the great 2020 toilet paper crisis. We had plenty of pulp and the machines to make the stuff but not the chemicals. The same with the west coast of the USA. Both countries had sold those jobs to China.
• China’s Huawei built bugged server facilities in Australia and New Guinea. Huawei was banned in Australia before the US or Canada acted.
• China also made flawed Covid 19 testing kits, sold contaminated reagents used in testing kits and vaccine production and tried to distribute a huge batch of dud vaccine to all of south East Asia, the Indian and Pacific ocean states and Africa. This even alienated hardline inner city Marxists in Australian cities.
• China had bought or built ports in Darwin Australia and several pacific states and then sent ‘security’ staff to ‘secure them’. These were clearly Peoples Liberation Army officers in not so convincing private security uniforms. The host countries have now promptly confiscated the new ports and sent the PLA home.
• Then China got caught trying to get spies into the administration officers of both major political parties: the Australian Liberal party (our conservative party) and Australian Labor our Trotskyist / union socialist party.

  To say they stuffed up repeatedly is a huge under statement.

  Then they banned Australian imports. In an epic case of ‘What were they thinking’ they forgot that for most of these resources there is no other suppler. The newer Chinese power stations are designed to run on Australia black coal. They can’t burn brown coal or Chinese high sulfur coals or Indonesian coal or the cheaper US coals. China has talked about using American coal but the USA can’t get it to California profitably, the pacific coast steel industries went bankrupt as a result. So getting coal from east of the Rockies to China is a pipe dream. Also US coal is more expensive and you can be assured that any new coal transportation infrastructure with get shut down by the greens and climate fanatics.

  China assumed that Australia would back down if their big buyer boycotted them but we were already looking for new buyers. We have found them: Vietnam, Indonesia, India, all the pacific islands and the east coast of Africa.
  China also has a problem with one of its major nuclear reactors and it looks like a systemic design flaw which may shut down all of their French built reactors.

The blackouts have begun. Its going to be a long cold winter. With no power and only 60% of the raw materials, hundreds of Chinese factories are shut down. China can’t be thrown a life line by Biden or Canada; that would confirm the Beijing Biden idea and the ‘problem with Trudeau’. Cuba, Venezuela and Iran can’t help, they are bankrupt. All of China’s other allies are now foes because China sent the virus to them and followed up with defective testing kits, vaccines and PPE.

Lastly while China has threatened to bomb Australia there are no less than 11 hostile air bases between China and Australia and their missiles would have a hard time hitting us too.

The fact that all this even happened raised questions about how much control Xi still has. This is an epic political and strategic face plant. Xi is supposed to be smarter that that.
