Clues from the Mural Mystery

I can’t help from thinking that it is a loss of respect that would make one deface another person’s property. Certainly a lack of respect for those that may come after. Why would someone do this? I personally believe that it boils down to a lack of “SELF” respect. We have, as a culture, created people that no longer place any value in themselves. As a “man of a certain age”, to quote Scott, was raised to know that if I screwed up, it was on me. Around the late 60s it began to not being about the person, but what group or “tribe” that person identified with. “I” didn’t do it, the “beat-nicks”, “flower children”, etc. are responsible. Even today, the excuse for a person’s actions is placed on BLM, antifa, or any number of groups. I’ll get off my soap box now after I say one more thing, “SELF” respect needs to be sowed and cultivated or we are going to hasten the slippery ride down hill.
