I guess that means we’re not going to see the Polar bear Christmas commercial anymore. They’ll probably switch to Pepsi.
Only true albinos would be “white”. And in Africa don’t they kill albino people?
I refuse to apologize for being white! And I never liked Coke anyway. It’s like Ford to a Chevy lover, although I wouldn’t give 2 nickles for either today. I’m stuck on old Jeeps now.
I can’t say I ever much liked Coca Cola as a company; and I don’t drink their products.
I had a brief stint stacking shelves (confectionery and drinks aisle) and I utilised my time in relaying out the shelves to favour the brands I liked and conversely to impact the brands I didn’t. Coke, Cadbury and Nestle weren’t doing as well as Pepsi and Mars on my aisle.
Linked In has removed DiAngelo’s Critical Race Theory course from their platform yesterday after complaints from employees who were required to take it. And it looks like Diangelo herself is backpedaling.

I have seen the phrase “the soft bigotry of low expectations” several times. I don’t see any reason to use the modifier “soft”.
I can be quite contrary I would ask “What do you mean by White?” I cannot think of any answer that would not have me responding ” You know, that is an incredibly racist statement. ” And then my explaining any good or bad thought or action occurs in some members of any race. Black racists against White and Asian?. Seen it. Asian against White and Black? Seen it. Would drive them crazy If they let me speak. If they did not let me speak I would honestly say I don’t understand what they want. Probably would get me in trouble, but might be worth it.
My response would invariably be to invite them to reproduce hermaphroditically.
I am not white. I am a woman of color. Using the color names of the old Crayola Crayons, I’m “peach.”
I remember that color. Probably canceled due to being not woke enough. Also, white is a color. And no, I am more brownish pink than white. (Would be called White.) I have painted miniature figurines. To get “White” you mix black, white, yellow and red. In fact, all skin tones except olive (which adds blue) come from those colors. Just the proportion changes.
Disagree. White and black are tones, not colors. Colors are hues.
Caucasian can be made from tinting white with complementary orange and a bit of blue.
Have you actually used paint pigments to get various skin tones? I have. Except for olive skin, you can get any skin tone (color) by mixing black, white, red and yellow. Orange is red and yellow mixed. Trouble is, which orange? Red orange? Yellow orange? Pale orange? I am talking pigments you cannot mix other pigments to obtain. You can’t mix orange with anything to get red. You could get a red orange by mixing a medium orange with red, but not red. And except for olive skin, blue does not look right. I think we are using words differently also.
Yeah, I actually have. I have taken many an art class, it was my degree objective, including upper level art.
Which orange–your favorite. Most active painters have more than one pigment for each hue. Orange is a secondary but you can’t just mix any red with any yellow to get a suitable orange as paint is not light, it is pigments. Works better with watercolors than with opaque media like acrylic, oil, and gouache.
I make black from ultramarine, quinachridone violet, phthalo green, and burnt sienna. The eye blends the layers into a black, a nicer black than using a carbon pigment. I am most familiar with acrylic pigments as acrylics are my favorite medium because they are the most malleable and versatile.
Also use acrylics. Also My favorite medium. Have not painted in about 10 years. I have not gotten into the depth you have. Never made my own black for example. My point was also pigments, so basically we are agreeing with a little misunderstanding. Thanks for your info.
Why not risk it? You can’t be in more trouble just by being white already.
Perhaps we should start a counter revolution entitled, “Try to be less ignorant”
I believe it’s a concerted effort to rid the country of “European” lineage peoples.
Except those in power, of course.
Ya had to go and bring that up, didn’t ya!
European whites were the explorers, adventurers, and risk takers that made the world what it is today.
Yep, all the more reason to be rid of them. They want to get rid of the people who can no longer work and pay taxes. Rid “their world” of troublemakers (like the “insurrectionists”). Rule over the obedient sheep who are always willing to play “Simon says” & demand free stuff.
Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand, the Americas.
The first peoples to populate those continents had more primitive sailing technology than Europe and arrived centuries before Europeans did. That took real balls.
If so many of the indigenous people of the Americas hadn’t been killed off by European brought disease it would have been a much more difficult continent to conquer.
Oh! Europeans were the worst thing that ever happened to Native Americans! If it wasn’t for disease, I think the continent wouldn’t have been conquered. It didn’t take them long to adapt to their invader’s weapons and tactics. If you’ll recall, Cortez barely made it out alive!
