“Come and Take it” is an awful argument in the gun debate.

If there’s something that continues to be reaffirmed today it’s this belief that the Right’s ability to defend the liberties of it’s citizens is unfortunately not up to snuff.

If you ask me the “Come and Take it” argument is more a support to help other Libertarians and Conservatives keep their cool under pressure, making the practical arguments doesn’t work against a group of utopians because they fundamentally do not care about practicality.

One thing that Conservatives need to learn is to start out with the Moral argument and use the constitution as a backdrop.

What I see many conservatives do is start out with the Constitutional argument and use the moral argument as a backdrop.

Learn to use the Emotional and moral argument because while the Facts do not care about your feelings, “Feelings also don’t care about your facts” People vote based on their feelings your only hope is to appeal to their feelings and use the facts to strengthen their resolve.

Find moments where citizens used their firearms to defend themselves from shooters, it is statistically higher than all those mass shootings and they are continually ignored.

Show footage of a Citizen defending themselves with a gun or show a woman with a gun defending herself from an aggressor and then posit the question, “Will you take her gun?”

Find moments of the French resistance fighting back against the Nazi warmachine and ask “Will you take their guns?”

Use the moral and emotional argument as your center because the fact of the matter is.

This IS a moral issue.

Throughout history there has always been a subsection of the population in which to not only abuse but to fantasize abuse towards is not just acceptable but lauded as a sign of ones moral courage. Within most neo liberals that population is the Gun owners. And this is why you see it is such a boon to talk about gun buybacks for many Democrats within Left wing circles. Why Robert O’Rourke can so proudly declare that he will forcefully deprive citizens of their firearms. Because to them this population is so worthy of contempt that to fantasize the use of force against them is a form of communal catharsis

It is suffering that provides them catharsis

It is the act of indulging in the suffering of those who cannot defend themselves against your demands. To indulge in the act of forcing yourself upon someone who you find contemptuous

It is the moral character of not just Robert O’rourke but every person who applauded for him that has to be brought into question

I look upon them and i see the hatred that birthed every calculated mass murder in history. That is the contempt of people who would if they could tear the country inside out to find those they find contemptuous and torture them.

In the end you almost cannot blame mr. O’rourke, he is merely appealing to his base. He is acting as a politician does. It is the audience who is wholly sick. His audience that so predictably applauded, he knew it was this rhetoric, this imagery of police seizing arms by the hundreds and killing or arresting who resist that would be red meat to a population of voters who find a sick pleasure in forcing their ideals upon others.

Robert O’Rourke is just a politician, a representative, the question is who does he represent, they’re the real threat to our civil liberties.

Robert O’Rourke is just the Democrat’s weapon aimed at our civil liberties.

Well stated, it is all about forcing their will, however perverted, on others using the force and big hand of government. This pathology if it is not about guns it will be about eating meat, your “carbon footprint”, “Hate Speech”, abortion, etc, etc. These are sick and dangerous people obsessed with the idea that they are the ones with all the answers and want to control everything. Unfortunately the same people controlling the education system pumping children full of propaganda.

Whether there should or shouldn’t doesn’t change that one is happening right now and we need to be properly equipped to fight back against those who want to take away your rights.

Effective messaging that is able to hit at the hearts of the gun grabbers and undecided people.

Make it clear that this is about saving lives and those who wish to deprive others of fire arms are going to result in alot of innocent deaths.
