I found this video fascinating, in that it’s clearly made by people who are concerned about man-made climate change, but focuses on creating a thriving farm, rather than on scare tactics. It’s this kind of approach that might open minds to ways in which we can make the world a better place without buying into government-control and hyper-taxation strategies.

Very interesting video. Whether you are a human caused climate change believer or not. These guys have a proven method of managing the land that makes their businesses more successful, which translates to $$, and keeps them from flipping burgers for a living. Who wouldn’t want that? Amazing the amount rainfall this managed land will absorb compared how it was before they used this method. 1/2″ compared to 8″ per hour and how much healthier the land stays through drought.
Imagine much of the land devoted to soy, corn, wheat and other grains instead farmed for cattle like this. Grains were all very well to tide humans over winters and bad years – from the neolithic agricultural revolution to the last century, but we evolved over many millennia before that as paleolithic hunter-gatherers. We didn’t evolve to eat grains like birds and other animals did, and in fact most grains contain anti-nutrients, and should not be eaten in the quantities most people consume them. I’d like to be able to afford grass-fed steak one day, and the more ranchers who do what these guys are doing, the cheaper that meat will become!
