I was watching some content on Critical Race Theory provided by PraegerU and other sources. This is a topic that interests me because it is both terribly wrong and frighteningly effective. It’s not just the wrongness of it, it’s also how such a wrong could achieve such effectiveness.
Critical Race Theory is a form of not-so-subtle oppression aimed straight at the black community. It teaches an unjustified belligerence to a non-existent or hugely overstated grievance and results in a defeatist attitude.
If a black kid doesn’t have handed to him for free what he is being taught is his by right then it’s “The white oppressors keeping him from what’s rightfully his”.
If he tries and fails to succeed in anything he can blame that failure on “The white people who wouldn’t let me succeed anyway.” rather than himself. It’s hard to blame yourself and a natural human tendency to create scapegoats. The point where many people finally become mature human beings is when as Gordon Lightfoot put it so well — “The thing that I call livin’ is just bein’ satisfied, with knowin’ I got no one else to blame”.
If he gets what he wants he has zero appreciation for it, after all “it was his anyway, he didn’t need to earn it he is owed it”. He resents those from whom what he wants was taken. If he has a single moral fiber in his body, even subconsciously, he must do this to justify his gains. He has to believe they deserved to be taken from because they are evil and he will absolutely believe this on some level.
This is a no-win scenario for the black community in America that can only end in disaster. The disaster can take many forms or a combination of manifestations but it’s a certainty no matter what else happens. On one end of the spectrum we end up with a Black Tyrant King and on the other lies genocide. Somewhere between those extremes lies undeniable reality. And it’s all bad for our fellow Americans of every race.
