My young (age 17) nephew LOVES the old music, Billie Holiday, the Inkspots, etc (I can’t remember the groups he listens to on Alexa, but there’s a lot of black singers). He loves them because they are musical, he can sing along with them (and pretty good, I may add), they have emotion and passion.
He does this mostly in the kitchen, whilst washing dishes (a great way to enliven a dull task). But on the computer, whilst playing video games, he sings old rock songs, especially Bohemian Rhapsody…
I have hopes for this upcoming generation!

I believe that the downward trend the Democratic Socialist (OXYMORON) is loosing its Power and Control over We, the People and its holding America hostage to the “fundamental transformation of America” has been put in the spotlight of the numerous HOAXES through SPYGATE to the Mueller Report onward to the “non-whistleblower Whistleblower to UkraineGate and finally with the drawing up of the Articles of IMPEACHMENT.
WHAT? will be the reaction of the Voter in 2020. Will they vote because the unrelently “saturation” of the NEW Democratic Socialist (OXYMORON) Party no longer allows the water to soak up the liquid BUT, rather, the glass is overflowing?
You know, I have been researching American ancestry from a particular angle that no one else seems to be looking at. I have been finding patterns to what looks like random cultural changes in America that I feel tell America’s story better than random musings.
Essentially, I have found two strains of ancestry running through American history…like American history is woven of two competing families. It goes like this: Back when demographers wanted to make the Baby Boom generation out to be the biggest one, they gave the Baby Boomers 20 years of births starting at the end of WWII. Giving a generation 20 years isn’t unreasonable, because people generally don’t start having children until they are at least 20 years old.
However, that means that although I belong to the generation after the “Baby Boom” was supposedly over, my parents were NOT “Baby Boomers”. If their generation is called anything at all, they are called the “Silent Generation”. Elvis also belonged to this generation.
In the same way, unless “Baby Boomers” got pregnant very young, most of their children belong to the “Millennial” generation. If the kid you mention actually WAS 14, he would just barely be in the next generation after (which has not been named…”Z” is a letter of the alphabet, not a name). That is, he may not have a “Baby Boomer” ancestor.
Another thing I notice is that “Baby Boomers” love to name the generations in their family trees and assign alphabet symbols to anyone not in their family tree. The “Greatest Generation” (whom I prefer to call the Holocaust Generation…some were heroes and others not) were their parents by and large and the “Millennials” are mostly their children.
The OTHER line of American ancestry, they treat like dark matter which causes weird changes in physics but can not be known or seen. Well, too bad. We are the reason Trump was elected. (It is so called generation X that made the electoral difference between Romney and Trump according to polling statistics). Our parents were the “cause” of both Elvis and the survival of Southern Gospel (and other out-springs of gospel) music. And according to Bill were so into Outer Space that seems to have been their primary focus.
And a huge number of my generation’s great-grandparents were direct immigrants from foreign countries (mostly Europe). For me, the percentage is around 50%. So when the Democrats enthuse that America is a nation of immigrants, we are not impressed. Almost all of our ancestors immigrated here at some time or other. And this is supposed to mean something special?
So I’m not surprised that major, groundbreaking changes are coming to America. After all, it’s one way to tell there’s dark matter around.
