Just minutes after New York Attorney General Letitia James released a 165-page report on Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s criminal sexual harassment, abuse and groping of at least 11 female victims, Cuomo issued a heartfelt explanation of how these women misinterpreted his dirty talk and groping in the office. No mea culpa here. Will the friendless Democrat reach the end of his third term, or even get reelected? Hours after this Right Angle was recorded, President Joe Biden called on Cuomo to resign.
Right Angle with Bill Whittle, Scott Ott and Stephen Green, produce dozens of new shows each month thanks to our Members.

So, as someone who has done his fair share of musical theatre, and was Bernardo in West Side Story many, many (many) years ago… I would have bet quite a bit of cash that if we heard someone quoting lyrics and nearly singing show tunes on Right Angle, that someone would have been Scott.
Bill that was really great!
Gov. Cuomo has good reason to believe he is the victim in this sordid affair. If the Democrats cared about cleaning their ranks of sexual harassers, why isn’t Tara Reid a household name? If the Democrats cared about the unspeakable degradation endured by victims of sexual abuse, why do they abet the rape and sexual slavery of the millions of Central American kids and women being trafficked by the Mexican cartels? When his party doesn’t give two hoots about his mass-murderer of thousands of his constituents, why should he expect their outrage over his getting too hands-on and/or mouthy with the help? Maybe it comes from a lifetime steeped in Chicago politics, but the dignity of womanhood can’t be the reason Andrew’s gotta go. Smells more like clearing the field of any possible challengers to the weakest possible 2024 presidential candidate to me.
All excellent points. Points our Republican leaders should also be emphasizing. If you can’t sell securing the border for reasons of national security, then going the feminist protective route might work, too.
And to think that the field is being cleared for Harris is terrifying enough. We just might be better off with a (semi) competent crook than a true dingbat as the next prospective Dem candidate.
The architect Frank Lloyd Wright said it was better to exhibit honest arrogance than hypocritical humility. Fortunately FLLW was a sufficiently talented artist and architect to pull that off. Cuomo must have picked up that vibe somewhere – from his father? But with a lot less justification.
Hey thanks! Yes you are right – Republican leaders would be doing just that, if they didn’t want an open border as much as their Dem counterparts – they just don’t have the stones to be as upfront about it. With them we should continue to expect dereliction and dishonesty. A splendid combination, huh? As to your second point, IMO non-compos mentis crook or true dingbat is a distinction without a difference. The same forces that pronounced an indolent Illinois Senate back-bencher to be presidential material after one Dem convention speech then proceeded to install him in the White House will continue to implement their agenda no matter who they con the public into accepting as the certified occupant. Re: Cuomo, without ever experiencing the discipline of a real, private sector job, it’s almost impossible not to be arrogant. Re: FLW, talented artist he surely was. Talented architect? Well, he was superlative at generating demand for his services. But in my book, the primary talent of an architect is creating shelters that keep out the elements while withstanding the forces of gravity. Frank? Not so much.
More West Side Story!!! Love it. And perfect analogy to Cuomo. Everyone else’s fault..
Latest in the news is the New York Senate Majority Leader says that she will support impeachment of the governor if the State Assembly decides to pursue it.
I don’t consider my self a racist so I won’t go there, but this man reminds me of old British aristocracy, people who think they are entitled just because they have an OBE or something after their name. Unfortunately I have met too many people just like this from old rich families here in this country as well. There seem to be very few politicians in this country that came from humble beginnings and not rich dynasties. Those few seem to be the honest ones who give a damn about how the country is run and how justice is maintained.
Cuomo needs to go.
Bill, I never understood during the Harvey Weinstein era why one of the girls he abused didn’t have a boyfriend willing to introduce Harvey to a Louisville Slugger. There were so many girls, old Harvey would probably not be able to figure out whose boyfriend it was–no blowback!
I think Weinstein might be a little different than some of the others he mentioned, as W would have been seen as a gatekeeper. If you wanted to play in Hollywood, you had to play the game. People should have recognized that the game was being played in a filthy sewer and no good would have come from it, but I would expect that idea extended to whatever boyfriend the women had… “it was just what she had to do for her dreams”.
The Gov on the other hand, should not be able to blackball any political aide and there would be paths to political opportunity outside of the governors mansion.
Bill got his Dr. Seuss on!
Technically he got his Stephen Sondheim on, but it does sound like Seuss. Gotta love 50s writers.
Applauding your impassioned declamation on your innocence, Bill. Only wish that our Republican representatives and senators would take lessons from you.
Here’s the problem with apologies, Gov. Cuomo: An apology might make YOU feel better. It might even make the general public feel better about you. What it does not do is make your victim feel better. You know, that person who has been fundamentally changed by your behavior, that person who cannot be restored to her original self, that person who can’t shower enough to wash away your actions, can no longer trust enough to have healthy relationships, who cannot forget enough to make this go away. In fact, apologies almost make it worse because they can be interpreted as saying you admit your bad behavior and probably knew it was bad when you were doing it, yet your victims mattered so little to you that you did it anyway. Unforgiveable.
And it also amazes me that the guys that do this sort of “alleged” behavior don’t seem to recognize that they and other men all have mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, sisters, nieces, and female cousins and friends. If they would not want those women in their lives to be subjected to such situations, why do they feel allowed to do so to other men’s female relatives and associates?
Because a necessity of being a modern democrat is pretending to have a surfeit of empathy when what they actually have is it’s lack. They project, overproject, the quality they most lack and don’t understand.
Perhaps these sort of people (women included) who do this sort of thing would not refuse, if the opportunity arose, to similarly abuse their mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, sisters, nieces, and female cousins and friends.
This sort of behavior is evil, and it has no boundaries if left unchecked.
I think they might see their family members as “part of the better class” and expect people in their class would not treat their fellow females in such a way. Women from the lower classes on the other hand are not their equals and are thus either not supposed to feel bad, feel lucky they were shown any attention whatsoever, or just recognize that they are lesser beings and need to learn their place in society.
His Brother’s Keeper
Despite Calls from Across the Country for Him to Step Down – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Will Not Quit
I agree with Gateway Pundit. I don’t see Cuomo quitting.
Wouldn’t empathy and humility need to be in existence for him to willingly leave?
Poll: 63 Percent of New York Voters Say Andrew Cuomo Must Resign
That number is interesting. I didn’t think it’d be that high.
Planned Parenthood Calls for ‘Immediate Resignation’ of Andrew Cuomo
Well, this is a surprise. I wouldn’t have predicted it at all.
That one is very surprising. Thought all avowed baby killers got free passes from PPA.
Perhaps this explains it.
https://www.dailywire.com/news/opinion-democrats-arent-ousting-cuomo-over-sexual-harassment-its-just-that-he-isnt-useful-anymore
Well, that does imply he was useful before. Maybe, before he murdered the elderly?
Well the good news is that for New York the mask has finally come off so to speak and because it is a National Story a lot of people will understand that as well but the bad news is still people are wearing masks willingly.
From the prior R/A segment “No Charge”, it appears that AG James has already performed for Cuomo as that arch feminist offered to do for Clinton. Maybe the NYS legislature should impeach her before they impeach Cuomo.
On the males in these ladies lives, I could see one or more of them taking action of some physical sort if it ends up that “justice is delayed, and/or denied”. We consent to be governed and let the government have a monopoly on legal violence so as to obtain and retain a stable and civil society. Once that falls down, all other bets are off.
Unless the harassments (or worse) was such that it kept these women from entering relationships they might otherwise have. But it has been reported these events are only 2 to 4 years ago or so, not 10 or 15, etc., so there must be some very angry men around, too.
“Basta!”
