I just read the story that Bill Whittle’s friend and Sherman Oaks California corporate neighbor, Jeremy Boering and The Daily Wire has finally said ‘see ya later’ to the cesspool of Southern California. It’s a great read as to the why they made the decision to move to Nashville.

So, does this leave our BWDC intrepid culture warrior all alone in SoCal to fight the good fight?

Just saw this. LOL
Good for them, but I have to wonder, why not Texas?? Jeremy’s from Texas! Shapiro already has a hand-made pair of cowboy boots!
Check the article. He actually made a comment about Texas but then pivoted about how welcoming Nashville was and also something about the talent pool in Nashville.
Some of the major contributors at The Daily Wire, such as Michael Knowles and, most notably, Ben Shapiro, have announcements at the end of their YouTube videos noting that they will no longer be a part of the Wire and will be publishing solely on their own channels.
I don’t know anything about the move or why it’s happening. Is it more than just a location change?
Wow! Michael, thanks for the catch. Funny the story is only quoting Jeremy B but of course the photo is of the star and main attraction Shapiro.
Yeah, it’s interesting, given that in 2020 it’s pretty easy to run a business like that with remote contributors. I understand the move – getting out of California just makes sense – but why are co-founder Shapiro and the others leaving?
The story quotes Jeremy as saying the decaying quality of life of SoCal combined with the high taxes and ridiculous rents/housing prices contributed to the move. I’m paraphrasing of course.
The writer adds that it’s about 80% of the staff are amenable to relocating. That, and I guess Nashville was rather welcoming.
But yes, it’s one thing to stay with the wire but work remotely, it’s another thing to just bug out. Humm. I wonder if that dirty rotten scoundrel Klavin is bailing out too?
Check out their latest videos. Shapiro and Knowles are still part of the Wire (Shapiro is a partner, after all) and are moving to Nashville. Don’t know about Klavan. I still don’t get why their vids won’t be published by the Wire any more, though.
Klavan said yesterday that you’d have to follow him on Youtube from here on. Is he dropping off? I hope not. He’s my favorite host.
AFAIK, Klavan is still with the Wire, as are Shapiro, Knowles, and Walsh. This comes from a couple of videos released yesterday on YouTube.
Looks like everyone is staying but they’re changing how the videos are published.
