I have been spending a little time on other SM platforms to see a viable alternative to Twitter/FB/IG/et al, and I have found PocketNet to be an attractive choice. An anti-censorship decentralized publishing and social platform. Based on the blockchain technology, it runs on a set of computers around the world, not controlled by any single entity. Self-policed by users with good reputation where nobody records your keystrokes, viewing habits or searches.

I think the choices for alt social media will change if/when the bully monopolies set their sights on them.
Anyone want to post a list of alt media sites on the member forum for others to peruse?
I’ve been perusing other alternatives as well. I deleted both Facebook and Twitter. For me, it was becoming too toxic. I couldn’t stand having Thanksgiving dinner after seeing how stupid some of my family could be. =)
I am enjoying MeWe for fun and entertaining content.
I am trying out Signal as my daily driver for texting. It’s only secure if the person on the other end is also using it, but I do know a few folks on it.
Rumble and LBRY I use sparingly … they haven’t quite gotten reliable enough and have the content I’m looking for in videos. But I do like the blockchain concept with LBRY.
