He chose her … or rather, “they” chose her … as an insurance policy. “Wanna get rid of ME? Then you get HER.”
I think in my collage days I might have sounded like her, but there was a reason for that 🙂

“Life insurance”, “Palace intrigue”, etc. … You guys are overthinking this, you’re outsmarting yourselves because you are smart guys and this situation doesn’t make any sense so you’re looking for insight and deeper meaning.
There isn’t any deeper meaning. Kacklin’ Kammie is what you get with any affirmative action hire. When the criteria is competence, intelligence and excellence based on merit and experience you can still have problems with the person you hire. When the criteria is to meet a certain skin tone and have a certain reproductive plumbing then you can only choose on the most superficial of qualities.
When those qualities are “She has to be a female, a real one at least for now, and Black or at least dark skinned, she has to not be threatening in any way to the sitting powers and she has to have name recognition” what you’re going to get is the same result every time.
Still don’t get it? Then compare Condoleezza Rice, Nikki Haley, or Winsome Earle-Sears to Kamella Harris and get back to me.
While I am in general agreement, I would add a couple of quibbling points.
1 – Your list of qualifications is incomplete. Female, sufficient melanin, name recognition – Yes to all three. There was a 4th. Make Joe look good.
If you include Members of the House, there are quite a few that meet your 3 conditions that objectively would be better than Kamala at not embarrassing the USA. But they would have made Joe look like more of what he is, an ineffective, doddering, old fool.
2 – Joe didn’t pick her. She was selected for him. By whom, I have no idea. But the thought that Joe looked at a panel of candidates and picked one. Not buying it.

I’ve also said many times on here that Joe does not appear to be in charge of much of anything except ice cream flavor selection. He’s being operated like a marionette by an unelected committee. The idea that he picked Kacklin’ Kammie himself is ludicrous indeed. Especially considering the obvious venom that adder of a wife Joe’s married to has for poor widdle fweedom wovving Kammie.

How in the hell does this administration ….. I was going to say something to the effect “how in the world can they face themselves or us under the withering humiliation with which they have subjected themselves and us” but I realize that in fact they are doing the job, and succeeding with flying colors, exactly as they are being paid, bribed or threatened to do by their puppet masters. I truly hate these people.
Her staff gave her a briefing that included a bunch of good stuff, and all she heard was “the passage of time”. I know she has had staff turnover, but who is actually working on her staff. They must all be recent Dartmouth or Tufts grads filled with earnestness. A month with Kammie fixes that.
And I’ve said this before, but not sure if it’s been here. Biden* was VP to make Barry O look good by comparison. Harris is here to make Biden* look good. Think about what kind of stupidity & radicalism that would have to be one heartbeat from the presidency to make Harris look good. Maybe Gulag Barbie or some the member of The Squadernistas? Now there’s a sobering thought
You’re scaring me, which is hard to do, since I’m already terrified that we have these hideous incompetents/malcontents or demons or whatever they are in charge.
And there is zero chance of Harris getting Arkancided – the Clintonistas are the ones who installed her into the presidential ticket. Remember how livid they were and how the media assaulted Tulsi Gabbard for exposing Kamala’s glass jaw in teh debates?
Remember the good ol’ days when Democrats told us it would be irresponsible to vote for an old man of questionable health with an idiot woman one heartbeat from the presidency in McCain/Palin? Good times, good times
