These thoughts should be emphasized more. It’s a common misconception that liberty is a given, a right or even that majority of the people want it. Especially over other things.
The degradation we see pretty much follows and needs relevant effort to counter. And one based on reality.

Thank you for posting – this message is lost in the cacophony of woke-ism blared and blathered by the left. Dennis is right – people will give up their freedom and liberty to be taken care of, whether by parents, spouses or government, often by all three. All three bear the blame for enabling the lazy, the inept and the cowards.
And those who are given everything for free (taken care of) don’t appreciate what they’re given because they didn’t earn it. They always want more and more, hoping it will fill the emptiness and lack of usefulness they feel inside.
