I can tell you that when I first joined the Federalist Society, there were plenty of left-leaning Liberals who belonged as members, or were pleased to participate as panelists at events. Free speech was king. The Federalist Society had a reputation for being the ONLY student organization that brought in bona-fide speakers/panelists with opposing views to each other to the same event.
Well, I won’t click through to Slate, but just the headlines are ludicrous.
