Disney & Coke Walk Back Diversity Training After Blowback: It’s Not a Woke World After All

Both Disney and Coca-Cola have walked back accounts of their diversity training meant to enhance White guilt after public blowback.

Both Disney and Coca-Cola have walked back accounts of their diversity training meant to enhance White guilt after public blowback. Perhaps it’s NOT a woke world after all. Now, can we all just have a Coke and a smile?

I have to respectfully disagree. The McCloskeys were punished for standing up for their rights. They did nothing illegal. A new “law” was pulled out of someone’s wazzoo to arrest them and confiscate their property. “They were displaying their firearms in a threatening manner?” Come on! Show me that law.
All the power they have over us is NOT power that we give to them. We hire people to protect our rights. We elect “lawmakers” and give them power to make and enforce the law. We do this because we know that in a chaotic environment it is very difficult for the average citizen to thrive.
These people, for some reason are refusing to do the job they were hired and are being paid to do.
The schoolyard bullies are running around kicking everyone because they can see with their very eyes that the recess monitors are standing there watching them and doing absolutely nothing about it.
They have been given tacit permission to abuse us by the very people we put in power to protect us.
You were absolutely right Bill, when you said that if Hillary Clinton was not arrested after James Comey testified to congress about her illegal activities that the law was dead in this country.
It still is.

I agree with everything you say, on principle, but … The Law with a capital “L” is a finicky thing and it’s best to “know it before you do it”. You said “Show me the law”, well here it is —

Missouri State Statute 571.030. 1. A person commits the crime of unlawful use of weapons if he or she knowingly:
4) Exhibits, in the presence of one or more persons, any weapon readily capable of lethal use in an angry or threatening manner …

It could be argued that the McClosky’s were not angry but Mrs. McClosky most definitely was pointing that little pistol at people and that most certainly constitutes a “threatening manner”.

It could be argued that they considered themselves in peril but most states require you flee from force rather than counter with lethal force if countering in that manner is at all avoidable. Missouri is not a “stand your ground” state and I would hold that all states should be stand your ground states but … They’re not.

In most states, California and New York being the most notable exceptions, mitigating circumstances are weighed in the decision to charge someone with a weapon crime or the use of a weapon. You can’t “count” on mitigating circumstances to get you off the hook though. You just have to do the best you can with the situation and hope for justice and a good lawyer.

The reason I’m replying to you is that I want you to be absolutely certain of the law if you ever need to draw and use a lethal weapon. It is not a trivial thing to do.

Whatever state you live in, learn the law now, before you need to know what your legal decision point is. Consider scenarios where you might have to use a weapon, look up the law, and go over those scenarios in your mind. Going over such things in your mind is ‘mental training’ for the real thing. I.E. I already know exactly what conditions I will use lethal force under. I know when and how to do that sort of thing. I know when holding a weapon and brandishing it are two different things. I have contingency plans (which I will not discuss) in case things go sideways.

You should do and know all of this too. I showed you the law so after this please go look it up for yourself well ahead of time. It’s easy to do on the internet and I don’t want to see good people get in bad trouble.

Your most welcome. Thank you for taking my post in the spirit intended too, I’m trying hard to be helpful and I don’t want to see good people run afoul of bad laws unawares.

In my mind I already know that “When ‘X’ happens I will respond with ‘Y'”. I know when to have a weapon visible in my hands, when to have a weapon that’s not visible, and when to draw and use a weapon. When I see those conditions I’m confident my response will be legal, appropriate and automatic, — Or that I will have no other choice in the matter if I want to live and will have to take my chances with the law.

Life here in the U.S. is pretty safe in most places and it’s important to keep that in mind. Mortal danger requiring self defense is rare and that is a good thing but …

When mortal danger does occur it’s usually unexpected and the situation develops very, very rapidly. It’s easy in the fractions of a second involved in decision making to get confused. Going over your options beforehand mentally is a good way to assure both your survival and your legality.

Here’s an example —

A friend of mine is an old fart like me and he has a CCW permit. One day he got into a shouting match with another driver in a parking lot. He got out of his vehicle and went over to the other driver, who had his window down. That was serious mistake #1. An argument should not be escalated. EVER. If you have a weapon, shut up and leave the argument and any threatening situation that might ensue behind.

An argument is not reason to draw or display a lethal weapon in any state including this one.

The argument became heated. My friend drew his weapon and let the other party see it. Serious mistake #2. He was brandishing a firearm in a non-lethal situation. That’s against the law in most states too and most definitely against the law here.

My friend then asked the other party “What are the odds?”

The other guy said “What odds?”

My friend replied “That I’ll miss at this range.”

Serious mistake #3. He menaced the other person, who was not obviously armed, had made no move to assault him and had made no lethal threat. That’s illegal as hell everywhere. Even “Stand Your Ground” states do not consider that a legal act.

That was serious mistake #3.

If the other guy had wanted to, and especially if there were any witnesses, he could have put my friend in prison. At the very least even without witnesses my friend could have lost his CCW and weapon had that person made a complaint. That he did not act to do so is not something that can be counted on.

My friend was overly bold because he had a weapon.

He drew a weapon never intending to use it. Serious mistake #4. At that point anything could have happened and because he really did not intend to shoot the guy if the guy had gotten out of his car the situation could have escalated to a fight, with the guy being shot or getting control of my friend’s weapon and my friend being shot.

His experience makes a great story but it’s a very, very bad thing to do. All’s well that ends well but his actions might not have ended well for him.

Had the other person been armed he would have been justified in shooting my friend. That’s not a good ending at all.

Under those circumstances, argument or not, If you show me a weapon and threaten to use it I’m going to use my weapon on you and I’ll be legal in doing so. I’ll tell the police and DA that we got in an argument, you got out of your car in a rage and approached me drawing a weapon and I stopped you with my own weapon. There will be no charges filed against me and if you live you’ll go to prison.

Don’t do things like that. Your right to keep and bear arms does not include the right to threaten other people with lethal force to win an argument. A weapon does not make anyone ten feet tall and bulletproof and a CCW is not a license to kill or win arguments. if you’re angry leave that weapon in its holster and don’t touch it.

Know the law, know when you need to draw your weapon and know when you need to use it. Lethal force is not a trivial thing and should only be the last, desperate resort in gravest extreme.

Am fond of saying that all education needs to be private and decentralized. Govt run / funded schools necessarily promote “big govt” theology at the peril of our history, philosophy and liberty.

Further, to vote for any candidate who is known to be ethically questionable, AND declining in mental facility, is to place party over country. To claim “loyalty” to country after such an act, is fundamentally disingenuous.

When Apple helped to atttack Parler, I got rid of my Iphone and got an Android phone (whihc deos tend to be a bit less convenient but well worth the ‘price’). I can’t give up CocaCola because I have not had any in years. When American Airlines solicited me by e-mail to come back and fly with them as I have in past, I wrote back saying that when they began an investigation of a pilot who works for them because he spoke out against crtical race theory, they lost my business forever because they attacked freedom of speech. One by one, one small step at a time, we have to go after these people by boycotting them for their brain dead pandering to the left wing.

An interesting and imperative perspective is described in this show …

In Russia, China, Cuba and Iran evil prevailed by force of arms. In those places and others during the 20th Century the leadership was deposed at gunpoint.

Evil evolves, in Venezuela there was no bloody “People’s Revolution”. The people of Venezuela willingly voted themselves into their current predicament and went from the most prosperous nation on their continent to eating pets and zoo animals as a result.

Currently, ideas are the weapon of choice of political evil. Ideas are an extremely effective weapon because rather than being overthrown forcefully a county willingly accepts the false promises of a Socialist Utopian Workers Paradise (or a Socialist Utopian Paradise free of Racists, or a Theocratic Islamic Paradise … etc.).

Evil doesn’t care how it wins, just that it wins.

We Conservatives owe Venezuela a debt of gratitude. Venezuela is both a “heads up” and a perfect example to point at regarding the actual results of Leftist policies.

The people of Venezuela believed that they knew better than their American neighbor on the northern continent. They thought they could finally be the State that ushered in a Leftist government “done correctly”. They believed the promises that all of their social and economic ills could be solved if they just gave the right people ultimate power and those people convinced everyone else that if they had ultimate power they would act for the good of all.

The people of Venezuela are not stupid idiots but they, like every other nation on their continent, are politically immature. Evil used that against them. They demonstrated child-like faith in the people who were telling them that given ultimate power they could solve every problem and usher in a new era.

WE know that giving anyone ultimate power is the antithesis of what constitutes the good of all. It doesn’t matter what that evil comes wrapped in, be it a democratic election or a violent bloody revolution, the end result is the same.

In Russia they threw off a dictatorship just to trade it for a different kind of dictatorship disguised as a democratically elected Republic. Russia is now ruled by political strongmen underpinned by oligarchs. Strangely enough, the standard of living of the average Russian has been improved considerably over what it was under the old Communist totalitarian government. If you don’t cross the oligarchs and political strongmen you can live a modestly decent life in Russia today.

Evil has evolved again, it has learned that the seething mass of forcefully downtrodden populace is dangerous to its agenda. It is more advantageous to let people live a better life while evil cements its control over the society. Russia snapped almost overnight from a Socialist tyranny to a Capitalist tyranny. Oligarchy is what you get with unrestrained capitalism run amok. Unrestrained Capitalism and a Free Market Economy are not the same things.

Oligarchical Capitalist Robber Barons and Captains of Industry were the very thing Karl Marx deplored and Vladimir Lenin claimed to detest, yet the average Russians live better lives under that system than they did the Communist system.

It is dangerous to individual Liberty to fall asleep in the arms of ultimate power no matter what form that power takes.

In America we are engaged against evil in a war of ideas. This engagement is nothing new, it’s always been there and it will always be there. The form may morph and evolve but the struggle is constant and evil is unrelenting.

When Thomas Jefferson wrote “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure,” he was facing in his day the same evil that we strive against today, it simply carried a different coat of paint. The form that evil took then was unsuccessful but evil did not give up being evil, it tried a different approach.

We are at war with that evil today because while some of us did anticipate this new form, many choose not to act against it until they themselves were threatened by it. This is also nothing new, it is human nature.

Thus today we find ourselves once again engaged combatting what we know to be evil while there are those who unwittingly believe themselves acting for the good or knowingly, intentionally promote that evil. There are those who support the current evil because they mistakenly believe it shows them to be good and there are those who promote that evil for their own personal power gains. As above, different approaches but same end results.

The last stop on this road is ultimate power and that is always the last stop. As we’ve all heard Bill Whittle say many times “It’s easy to vote your way into (a tyranny) but hard to shoot your way back out of it.”

Fortunately in a war of ideas we have a lot of things to be grateful and hopeful over.

In a bloody shooting war revolution there is immense destruction and hardship. I have seen this close up and personal when I was in Lebanon during the early 1980’s. I hear people talking about taking up arms here in America against the “woke revolution” and see them as completely ignorant. War is not fun though it can be very, very exciting and not in a good way. Bullets and bombs are one way to solve a problem and it may someday come to that but it doesn’t have to.

We are right now fighting this war from keyboards and by word of mouth. This is a much, much more preferable way to fight evil. Because this war is one of ideas that’s also the best way for now to fight it. Taking up actual arms at this point is counterproductive and supports the ideas evil is promoting, it feeds into the schemes of the enemy.

Ideologically, the position of evil in this war is weak in exactly the manner Bill and Zo explain in this video. The evil ideology we are struggling with has an Achilles Heel. It is divorced from reality and reality can be a Class A Bitch. The important consideration for us in fighting this war is to assert reality and resist that evil ideology. The people supporting the evil may be highly intelligent but they are weak in character. The Achilles Heel here is that they have to be weak in character or else they could not support the ideology they promote.

We are going to have to drive through the current situation, we cannot go back and there is no lateral move that does not resource our opponents and disadvantage us. The path to victory is clear. We must expose the absurdities of the Left for what they are. We must avoid giving them their suppositions and their fallacious precepts. Zo gives a very good example of this in saying not to deny racism exists in America because it does and it’s all on the Left.

Unless evil finds a way to permanently cement its hold on power the public square is the battlefield and public opinion sufficient to sway votes is the path to victory. This will remain true as long as public opinion expressed through voting is a prime mover. Now more than ever before in our lifetimes we have the chance to make our Republic work for The People and now more than ever before in our lifetimes is the Republic under existential threat. If you care about this then you have to fight.

The good news is that you don’t have to be a young person of military fitness to effectively engage this enemy. This brings a very large force to bear on the problem, a force that spans the entire demographic of the vox populi and there are more of us than there are of them, for now.

There is much hope for us in both avoiding a bloody revolution and in victory over the current crop of evil in its new form. The only question is do you care enough not only to fight but to train yourself and others to fight effectively.

“If there are signs that we have become less concerned than we should be with virtue, there are also signs that many Americans are becoming restless under the tyrannies of egalitarianism and sick of the hedonistic individualism that has brought us to the suburbs of Gomorrah. But, for the immediate future, what we probably face is an increasingly vulgar, violent, chaotic, and politicized culture. Our hopes, our struggles, and our optimism must be for the long run. The first requisite is knowing what is happening to us.” Robert Bork. Slouching Towards Gomorrah. p1996

And Tolkien told his son, Christopher not to let Disney get control of his dwarves.

I truly believe that the art of communication via “one on one” will change hearts. Don’t let the Big Tech folks make you think you can *only* communicate through their “portals of correction”. I’m finding most folks are sick and tired of the Woke agenda…..

Freedom is truly just a generation away from going out. The good news is that The Radical Left has become so emboldened that they’re not even trying to hide their motives anymore. We can drop any notions of good faith

Before you can express your ideas in the marketplace, we need to see your private health data (vaccine passport). /s

Why should the socialist (left) hide, they are running every single aspect of our culture/government/lives. Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches are actively, knowingly, and with prejudice supporting the socialist plans. Most political positions from top to bottom are compromised with exceptions like Florida’s Governor. The rarity of this should show the true socialist scope of control.
Indoctrination into socialist ideology (religion) has been an ongoing process, both in public schools and social programs that have been increasing in propaganda and rhetoric. The social programs are designed to reward those that vote/support the agendas. Public education has become much more about socialist indoctrination and program promotion than about teaching. As proven by the fall of educational measurements across the board compared to rest of the world. This has been an ongoing decline for decades, which means multiple generations.
Socialism could be aptly compared to an invasive species. Invasive species displace native species thus replacing with new rules of growth and survival. In other words they change the invaded ecosystem to match the invasive species home ecosystem. Socialist invaders are wanting to change the freedom system to match their original socialist ideological system. When most of the “immigrants” whether legal or illegal, are leaving socialist ecosystems to come to the US for the opportunity its freedom system offers.
What sane person would want to change a system of opportunity to one of restrictive dogmatic and limiting system of equity of living?
Well as seen and understood by those (immigrants) that have lived in these “socialist” systems this equity doesn’t apply to those in control, running the system. These socialist governmental elites live much higher quality of lives than those they oversee. Think along the lines of gated communities with swimming pools and armed security guards. While the normal citizens live in slum like monolithic, apartment style community housing, stacked into sardine like blocks. In other words the ones pushing this socialist system are planning on being the ones in control living the elites’ lifestyle.
So they (socialists) are not insane; they are just wanting to push their plans to improve their personal situation. There is a reason that we call the most inhuman and least empathically understanding types of people “Sociopaths”. It is not a coincidence, socialism requires detached, selfish, and cruel people in charge to want socialism as it actual functions and hurts the majority of the population/citizens it controls.
