WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump received a federal grand jury subpoena this spring for sensitive documents the government believed he retained after his departure from the White House, a source familiar with the document confirmed to NBC News.
Conservative Journalist John Solomon first reported (references above article) Thursday afternoon that Trump was sent the subpoena months before the FBI searched his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida earlier this week. The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the subpoena was related to documents that Trump’s legal team discussed with Justice Department officials at a previously reported meeting in June.
Those officials were “coming down to retrieve the documents that were being requested” in the subpoena, the source said.
Citing “two sources briefed on the classified documents” sought in the subpoena, the New York Times reported Thursday that federal officials were prompted to conduct the search of Mar-a-Lago because the material was particularly sensitive to national security.

As I said else where it occurs to me that they may be going after non existent classified documents for an even crazier reason than stated. If Trump handed everything over including stuff that confirms the wilder Q from 4Chan claims and other heterodox foreign and local intelligence, then the Biden White House may have disbelieved the claim. They think they received false foreign intelligence reports, etc and Trump retained the real ones. They are looking for things that are not real. I.E. If Kim Jong Un was not the dictator in north Korea and accepted Trumps offer of liberty but it’s implementation can’t be public and requires south Korean political change too. This has been my premise for years now. Would it be believed by the Biden State department? What evidence of nuclear weapons and atrocities would they be looking for? If Jamal khashoggi was the real king pin of Al Qaeda/ ISIS would the left believe it? I don’t think he’s dead.
If Trump handed over intel that the left can’t believe then they would assume that the intel confirming their world view is in a safe at Mar a Lago.
Very interesting take. But wouldn’t our IC loaded with the left have already seen the intelligence they think Trump is still hiding? Why would they believe that foreign entities shared intel with President Trump and not with them? Hitler was extremely paranoid, so I understand he possibility, but that’s certainly some stratospheric-level TDS!
You could be right. They’re desperate and not mentally well. Plus their egos won’t allow the to think they’ve been beat. I’ll bet they’re doing Olympic quality mental gymnastics to reconcile the competing thoughts in their heads. We already know they claim Trump and his supporters including me are stupid while also claiming we’re geniuses who colluded with Russia to win 2016, though maybe that’s a bad example of cognitive dissonance as they know they lied about the whole thing to help Hillary win 2016.

My only concern I think at this point is that they would start a war even though the world economy is in shambles. It would give them emergency powers, some of which we don’t even know. It’s really their only out at this point. Burn it all down out of spite. Flip over the checkers board if you will.
If the tyrants in the White House began to issue drone strikes against our will to incite war, insurrection would be necessary and our duty as citizens to preserve the republic. I hope and pray it doesn’t get to that point.
I think the more likely scenario is win the midterms, start the investigations, hard court press for the IC to release the materials we request (already have FBI whistleblowers going to Grassley) including the Russian collusion paperwork Trump declassified before leaving office which they refuse to produce, make a bulletproof case to the public, bounce Biden out of office, decertify 2020 to invalidate his signature as President and roll back all of the fraudulent energy policies, executive orders and inflationary spending bills which bear his name while reinstating Trump.

Remember we are talking less that 100 people in the DOJ, FBI and State agencies. For the Mar a Lago raid they had to fly 80% of the people in from Washington DC and borrow cars from other federal agencies in Florida.

I think they have already tried to start four foreign wars but its gone wrong each time. Sending the wrong signaled to Putin got a war but he’s not winning and each of Zelenskyy’s wins makes Trump look good. Trump shipped Zelenskyy the weapons and training, far more training in secret that was public, Biden is trapped in a situation where he wants to fold and let Putin win but can’t do so publicly.
The Afghanistan pull out was meant to destabilize the area and force a war footing/ distraction at home but not with US troops in it.
Sending contradictory signals on Taiwan is not getting the expected response from China. China has not really got the capacity to sea lift an army to Taiwan. The Russian failure means China now has to re tool its army, those were Chinese tires that failed in Ukraine’s mud. The super drought now means the Chinese army will be tied up hauling water and digging canals for a year.
Lastly they tried to get South Korea to poke Kim Jong Un with a bunch of accusations but he just laughed it off and had his sister poke back harmlessly.
Remember getting the USA into a war does not work if the left has to send their loyal transvestite officers and men to war leaving the Republican soldiers at home. It needs to be the other way around. With 10% in pseudo-brigs for refusing vaccination the left can’t even move major units.
Biden does not really command the US defense forces. Remember Congress must declare war (unless directly attacked by a foe). That’s a safeguard.
Trump raised the commanders of Space force, Cyber, Strategic, Special ops and Transport to the same status as the 6 regional commands. The Joint Chiefs of Staff can advise and Biden can order them but the White House can’t micromanage them like Obama did. Trump also made sure everyone from cadet to general did a military law refresher in 2020 before the election.
He, as usual, was way ahead of the game. I suspect Trump is actually mesa, top 1% IQ but wants it kept secret. I know other mesa people who play dumb.
