In the event that Joe Biden is sworn in as the President of the United States on January 20, 2021, I recommend that all patriots fly the flag at half-staff out of respect for the grave injury that has been perpetrated on the Country.

I am a relatively new member, just joined in October. I have been slow to get on board but it’s time that I started offering up comments and opinions for discussion. I have been reviewing the comments here and I can sympathize with the desire to display the flag upside down if Biden is sworn into the office. He isn’t the legitimate elected president. But as I am thinking on it, I think we should display the flag in the proper position. The reason is that we are the true Americans and it is our flag. Do the “un-Americans”, as Bill refers to corrupt politicians and leftists in a previous show, even fly the flag. Do they put an American flag sticker on their cars. I think not. Maybe a few do just to put on a false show but they could care less about the American spirit and our flag. In fact, these are the same people who condone tearing down and burning this flag in the streets during “mostly peaceful” protests.
We own this symbol of America. Let’s fly it properly in defiance of this illegitimate regime. Just my opinion.
I have a flag decal on the rear window of my car. When Obama was inaugurated I turned it upside down, and left it that way for eight years. For the past four years it has been “flying” right side up. I may turn it back to upside down on January 20th, and for those of you who will do likewise – whether it be a decal, or a cloth flag on a flagpole – keep in mind that it may be misunderstood.
Twice mine was misunderstood. The first time I was driving along a local road when a guy pulls up beside me, and motions for me to roll down my window, so that he can tell me I have my flag upside down. I mouthed to him, “I know.” At that he became very distressed, almost to the point of tears, but driving along I could hardly have a conversation and explain I was always taught a flag flown upside down was a sign of distress or peril. I think he may have been a patriotic veteran and taken it as a sign of disrespect.
The second time I was on a long trip driving through PA on interstate 80. A guy starts honking wildly, and repeatedly at me, pulling up beside me to give me the finger, pulling ahead of me to get in front of me to slow down. etc. I slowed way down to just to let him get ahead and drive away, but when I sped up again I found the b#@*trd waiting for me to continue his road rage, and harassment. Finally, I had to exit the highway, veering off at the last second without the use of my blinker, because I didn’t want this nut case following me. I parked myself in a McDonald’s for a half hour before venturing out again, wondering what was it that made this clown so angry. I then remembered my upside down flag, and I’ll bet that is what ticked him off.
I’ll bet both these guys thought I was a lefty.
I plan to fly it proudly and according to the Flag Code, as the flag represents the ideal that is America and this ideal will outlast these petty tyrants. When Trump was elected, the lefties of my neighborhood did similar gestures (inverted flags) along with window/yard signs claiming that ‘hate has no home here’ or ‘we believe in science, reason and secular values’. While I respect your gesture, not all of us are in a position to do so and would ask that this not be some identifier as to who is ‘with us’. My strategy is to be kind, friendly, and a good neighbor, and share my beliefs at opportune times.
My flagpole won’t allow the flag to be flown at half mast, but I will be flying it inverted in the case that Biden is sworn in.
And it will remain inverted for all four years of his presidency if necessary…
Back in 2002 when the socialists got voted back into power, my first action was to create a badge with the country and black band of mourning.
And I wore it for 4 straight years till the next election.
I don’t have a flag pole, but if I did I would fly it upside down, ’cause we’re in a world of sh*t if Harris . . . Oops, I mean Biden should get in. May get one for my car. 🙂
I don’t believe we can fly the flag at half mast without a proclamation by the President. But I do intend to fly it upside down.
I don’t have a place to fly the flag but I would not fly it at half mast or upside down.
The better response to the Travesty that will be Joe Biden’s Inaugural is to tune it out and tune out anyone who wants to talk about it.
It is a sad culmination of many outrages, but in the case of Joe Biden it will be an empty ceremony. I have read that it will be conducted remotely, and the luncheon and perhaps other events that usually celebrate an Inauguration will not be happening because of Covid.
At least not openly. The Democrats will have parties, but they may try to hide them better after the trouble Gavin Newsome has gotten himself into.
Then again, they may not give a damn.
There are state legislatures to slowly take over in order to carry out the kind of changes state legislatures have not carried out to make elections more transparent and accountable.
And there are Rino GOPers to primary and even vote against in the general to “persuade” the GOP to pay attention to Conservatives, or see their party go the way of the Whigs.
Games with flags give nothing but a sugar rush. Sugar rushes leave you distracted and exhausted after having accomplished nothing yet feeling you have.
All that said, if I were going to fly a flag I would fly it at half mast upside down. Because who gives a rat’s ass was the new President says?
if the other side can burn and shit on the flag, we can certainly fly it a half or upside down without “permission”
Not only should we do that, we should also fly it up-side down, that way we would know who to trust, and who not to trust.
