The American Academy of Pediatrics yanks a convention booth from the Society for Evidence-Based Gender Medicine, which has cast doubt on the current ‘affirmation’ protocol for treating children with gender dysphoria. How can we follow the science if we don’t want to see the current evidence?

Talking about trade shows, the best advertising I’ve ever seen, and I still have this piece, was what looked like a $20 bill folded in half laying on the floor amongst the litter that turned out to be three sides printed by a local guy who was a handyman who would do free estimates for home repairs and a telephone number. This guy didn’t even have a booth. He just walked around dropping these things on the floor. I wonder how much business he made with these very clever attention grabbers.
Your answer, Bill, is that there is a “decade over decade increase of over 4,400 Percent of the number of teenage girls seeking treatment at the UK National Gender Treatment Clinic” for gender dysphoria. This is happening in both the US and the UK. OH, and wasn’t there just reported that the number of white people in the US had DECREASED for the first time ever in a National Census? It’s working!
“Forget peanut allergies, these people are allergic to truth,” well said.
I like having Zoe on right angle!
I prefer Steve, he’s much better fit. But I like Zo in Virtue Signal. 🙂
I enjoy them both
I’ll call it SELL-ABRATION.
It’s like when Jesus decided to clear the Temple of the money changers.
Deb sez,
Zo’s right! They are nuts. And stupid to boot. Ya gotta’ remember we’re dealing with a generation who were never taught how to think rationally. Also a generation which has adopted “new speak”, whereby words no longer mean what they originally meant. They have new definitions. Like the word “science”, which now means whatever the Left want’s it to mean today (never mind what they may have said it meant last week!). Welcome to Bedlam.
With regard to the American Academy of Pediatrics state of mind, I’m placing side bets on naive and obsequious, bordering on toady.
A similar tactic has often been used at global warming conferences. At those, presentations which are skeptical about the roll that human activity plays in global warming are rejected and not allowed to present.
Is Steve Green gone forever?
Why? Have you heard something?
I heard a one-armed, one-eyed giant purple people eater crawled out of a liquor bottle and ate ’em. Of course, I haven’t said anything about that, far be it from me to go around spreading unverified rumors. If true, the secret is safe with me 😉
Yea, well my cousin’s friend’s sister’s boyfriend told me that Steve stayed in Mexico because he found real sugar in the Coca Cola AND (embrace the healing power of AND) in the Oreos!
No not really. Just hadn’t seen him for a few days.
Since evolution is a lie .. these evil people are trying to make this their evolution on poor little kids.
So good to hear you guys again! Love ya Zo .. Welcome to the now four “Musketeers”!
Thanks for going Rumble. Having to watch what you say is beyond stupid.
Why does Zo have to bring religion into every argument? That’s why I don’t usually watch the segments where he appears. I’m not sure how he knows the “mind of God” but I suppose he has an inside connection in this respect….NOT! This one caught me off-guard since Steve is on vacation. I agree with most of what I see and hear on this web site, but Zo is a religious zealot that thumps his bible every chance he gets. I’ll go away now since I’ve probably pissed off the majority of the forum people here. As Viva Frei would say “Peace, out!”
I’ll walk this path with you. There are too many religions, and I prefer folks to keep theirs to themselves. You have fewer fights that way. I come from a long line of very religious folks, and Thanksgiving could turn into a nightmare quickly over who said the prayer and how they said it. I just ate my turkey and dressing with a lot of cranberry sauce.
Good for him! You don’t like him because he loves Jesus. Keep it up Zo. And by the way, have you heard Scott Ott’s testimony?
So he loves a fictional figure in world history? How sad! Read the first 5 books of the bible in their entirety, the Pentateuch I think they’re called. Do you honestly believe in talking donkeys? Numbers 22:22 tells it all, not to mention a talking snake in Genesis, Grow up people and figure things out for your self, not depending upon the things you were taught as a child. Still believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny do you? Probably not. Had you grown up anywhere else than the US, what would you have been taught and now believe? Of all the religions on earth, all can’t be correct. How do you know that you believe the only correct one? We are all non-believers in the myriad gods that have been worshiped since time immemorial. I simply believe in one less than you.
Literally every canned retort you gave has been answered by a theologian of some kind. C.S. Lewis comes to mind for a lot of these, but you’re more than welcome to read Augustine too.
Yes, people who spout that kind of thing betray the fact that they’re not nearly so educated on the topic as they would have others believe.
What he’s actually doing, which I detailed below, is proselytizing his own religious belief. Like any good zealot in any religion would. Wanna bet he doesn’t even know he’s doing that?
Wow, someone who is intolerant of the views and opinions of others and prefers they did not speak their thoughts in those areas you disagree with. Someone who considers himself superior by reasons of his own opinions and belittles both the opinion and the person who see things differently.
Nice pedestal you’ve built for yourself there, that’s a real beauty. Where have we seen that type before? Let me see …
Perhaps you’re on the wrong side? Maybe you’d be more comfortable among those whose worldview exhibits the same characteristics as you demonstrate?
Don’t get me wrong, I think you’re entitled to your opinion. I think you’re free to hold any religious views you want to in this country. You can say what you like, you can also be held to account for what you say too.
Like it or not, “no God” IS also a religious view. It’s every bit as religious a view as any other that addresses the question of religious beliefs. The obvious proof is demonstrated merely because it does address that topic. It’s a negative, anti-theistic view but that does not make it any less a religious view.
I know, I know — A popular way to avoid taking responsibility for that particular religious belief is to deny it has any religious nature at all. Which is preposterous, of course it has a religious nature, it applies to religion. You can deny that all you like but it just makes you look desperate if you do.
So here you are proselytizing in full-on zealot mode for your own religious view while you attack and belittle others for theirs.
Bravo, you’ve got stones. I bet you don’t even realize you were doing that so maybe more stones than good sense or self awareness. If you deny that then we can simply add self-delusion to those lacks.
I’d prefer to think that’s not the case and give you the benefit of the doubt because …
Surely you cannot be so self deluded as to think your “Santa Clause and the Easter Bunny” is any less fanatical an attack than the likes of with which any other jihadi might assail any other faith. Surely you are at least smart enough to know you were preaching a doctrine. I refuse to believe you’re so stupid as to not even know you have religious beliefs, you just advocated for them in front of the whole world like any good disciple would.
Before you fire off more rabid zealotry in reply take note that I was not defending anyone else’s religious views. I am taking no stance, with you, in favor of nor against any religion or faith. Including yours. I am merely pointing out the hypocrisy in your own application of your own religious belief. You didn’t mind doing that to someone else above so I’m sure that will be just fine with you. Unless you’re even more of a hypocrite than you have so far demonstrated.
It’s either fictional, or a historical figure. Can’t be both.
I know God and demons exist. I’m sorry you are so offended by Zo’s beliefs that you feel the need to leave.
I applaud your decision to turn off content you don’t care to hear. I won’t challenge your answer, but I’m curious to hear how you figure limiting others speech to suit your convenience in any way conserves the principles upon which American was founded.
Well said, Allison! Too often people of all opinions and political leanings rail against others for speech they deem disagreeable. This is why absurd notions like the ever-vague and undefinable “hate speech” have come into being.
It seems that many have received that which they’ve repeatedly requested via the ballot box: censorship.
Why, thank you, David.
I am not a particularly religious person but what is the harm in listening? He is a smart fellow who fits in well with the guys and most of the time (despite the biblical references) he is spot on. Zo, I like your work. You do you buddy!
I believe that they think that they are being strategic, they have communicated that certain ideas are forbidden and beneath their contempt. There is no way they could have taken Scott’s advice and just cashed their check and let them in to be another boring booth. Institutions like the American Academy of Pediatrics are incapable of believing that people’s lives go on unnoticed by what happens at their conference.
These kids are being manipulated, it is called Child Abuse. Ultimately they are thumbing their collective noses at the Creator of the Universe. But understand this God will not be mocked.
True, God will not tolerate mocking ultimately, but scripture is full of instances where he gave sinful man what he desired. Good and hard. Smiting optional, but when it happens, it’s always deserved.
Scott, you’re exactly right about it being child abuse. A pseudonymous author at Quillette ran a fascinating multi-part series,
“When Sons Become Daughters: Parents of Transitioning Boys Speak Out on Their Own Suffering”
It’s very long, but deeply insightful. Major takeaways for me were the abusers in these stories are mostly school employees and the medical establishment, who not only resented the parents involvement in their children’s lives, like many abusers, they succeeded in completely isolating the kids from their parents. (Not covered in the series, but something I wonder is whether the vast and growing extent of the problem is due to federal funding of treatment? I’m highly skeptical that the woke crusaders pushing all this would do so on their own dime.)
Second was the abusers most effectively played on the kids feelings of insecurity, their struggle with belonging, and the challenges of identity during a time of major physical changes. Can you name one adolescent who DOESN’T experience these feelings during that age? I can’t.
Third was the outsized influence of teenage girl peers adopting these poor lost souls as their social justice cause. There is nothing so evil as convincing well-meaning but ignorant people that doing the wrong thing is doing the right thing.
Last was the sinister influence of the internet, particularly anime in skewing these confused kids perception of reality. Genesis 1, God made man and woman is powerless to reach kids who have been brainwashed since toddlerhood into having no concept of what those two words mean.
In my opinion, the victimhood schtick is merely the hook, the true motivation comes from human beings with too much power vainly attempting to supersede the Creator to make the world in their image, not his. Tragically, the smiting has already begun.
You’re spot on with the federal funding and I feel this is the problem with a lot of federal programs. It doesn’t matter if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck, it’s a swan because a swan, not a duck is what get’s another check from the program. Kind of like the COVID thing and the hospitals getting paid very well for covid patients. They come in with 23 stab wounds, 6 bullet holes, and hale the torso missing, yep, looks like covid to me.
So true, James. Like Reagan said, “If you want more of something, subsidize it. If you want less of something, tax it.” He focused a lot on the dangers of overreaching government, but I don’t believe he could ever have imagine governors seizing the power to shut businesses down, lock people in their homes, and limit their ability to breathe free air. And that we’d let them.
The Great Lie of Lucifer is that “I will become like God, I will ascend to the throne of the Most High”. That is Lucifer’s eternal goal and it is what caused him to be cast down. If you look for that lie you’ll find it in a lot of places and not all of them are obvious.
I.E. Mormonism teaches that its adherents will become gods. Don’t believe me? Look into it for yourself. Mormons believe in a doctrine called “exaltation”, where human beings will “inherit” all the attributes of God the Father. The 5th president of the Church wrote: “As man now is, God once was; As God now is, man may be …” The idea is that human beings are on a journey to becoming gods in their own right. The rest of that Mormon Doctrine is irrelevant, it is merely the beard on the face of corruption. No true Christian Church would dare to preach such heresy and for good reason. It’s anti-Biblical.
I’m not picking on Mormons, in fact Mormons have a well earned reputation for being honorable, law abiding moral people with exemplary record of military service. I’m just using that as an example of where The Lie can be found.
This is also the theme behind “… vainly attempting to supersede the Creator to make the world in their image, not his.” They are in effect trying to wield the power and creative might of the Creator and all they accomplish in reality is a very poor echo of the real thing.
Look for that one, Big Lie and where you find it, you’ll find evil at work. No matter what mask it wears. The more benevolent and benign it seems, the more monstrous the evil.
It is a conundrum of the human condition that evil people doing evil work do not recognize nor think of themselves as evil. If they did, they would have to abandon evil or at the very least admit to it. So evil by necessity must appeal to their vanity and hubris and does so through lies. If you look for it at the root of all those lies spoken by the Father of Lies is The Big Lie — “I can be God.”
Beautifully stated, ACTS. I simply can’t fathom such evil people having so little love for their fellow man that they don’t consider taking away others fertility, their individual rights, or even their lives without their full understanding or consent as evil, but here we are.
I know this is a month later but the little “Bell” that says someone replied to me just came back in my browser. Scott says they were having problems with that and some other things so they disabled it until they could get those issues addressed. So I’m looking for replies to me that I may have neglected or not been aware of.
The Big Lie takes many forms. Look at Joshua de Silva’s reply to me below, which I’m not going to answer but rather use as a prime example. Joshua is a Mormon so when dealing with Mormons it is imperative to bear in mind the foundational document of their faith was concocted by a treasure hunter (a “digger”, it was a popular pseudo-occupation in his day) who invented out of whole cloth what has today become a popular though parasitic religious system. Mormonism has become a gigantic tick sucking blood from The Church (meaning the Body of Believers without prejudice as to denomination). It’s ridiculously easy to debunk Mormonism so if you’re not familiar with the obvious ploys, permutations and prevarications of Joseph Smith I encourage you to do some reading on the matter.
I’ve studied cults for decades and find the subject both fascinating and horrifying. Be very, very careful not to get sucked in if you do that. It takes a very firm grounding in Christian Theology and a good grasp of teleology not to get swept away in the doctrines of cultism.
Simply not true. Note he does not cite anything Biblical to back that up. Biblically, God the Father, El Shaddai, Yahweh, etc. are the same Being and that Being reigns supreme over the entirety of Creation, the universe both physical and spiritual. He does not share power, He is in Himself the Ultimate Power of which there is none greater.
There were many heterodoxical “early Christian writings” that necessitated the Canonization of what constituted Holy Writ. There’s the Arianistic and Gnostic doctrines among the 44 well known and documented early Christian Heresies. Or “early Christian writings”. Almost all Christian Heresies that we see today are derived from one of these early heresies. I.E. the doctrines of the Jehovah’s Witness/Watchtower cult are derived from Psilanthropism. Which was the reason for many Ecumenical Councils and the topical reason for the First Council of Nicaea.
From which we get our Nicene Creed, btw. It begins thus —
“I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all that is, visible and unvisible.”
The bold emphasis is mine. Clearly the Christian Church maintains that there is only and ever will be ONE GOD, not many “exalted gods” sharing His Power. That ONE GOD created everything there is. He did not create beings who would be his co-equals and who would go on to be creators in themselves.
If that were the case then we would have multiple universes. Because God created this universe with all that it contains and each of the other universes ruled by an exalted Mormon … Which is ridiculous. The concept of “multiverses” is interestingly enough what Scientificists (people for whom Science is their religion) use to explain away the Fine Tuning of our universe to account for the fact that a universe in which life could occur is statistically impossible.
(The idea of multiverses states that if life is statistically impossible then infinite universes were created so that we just happen to inhabit the one that in an infinite number was able to sustain life. It’s not only unproven, it’s unprovable and something that is unprovable or cannot be proven false is a direct contradiction of the Scientific Principle. Scientificists thereby violate their own doctrine.)
The idea that …
… places Mormonism in the same class as the deposing of God from His Throne with the minor difference that instead of usurping God they diminish His rank from the Creator of everything to the Creator of only some things. They then rule as exalted beings over those other somethings. The end result is identical even if the path seems to be different.
And so we find in Mormonism The Big Lie revealed. Mormons of course will never admit to this and employ sophistry in lieu of reasoning because … If they admitted it they could not remain Mormons.
Not only is exaltation biblical, but it was part of the discourse of early Christian writings until the late Roman period.
Satan didn’t want “shared” glory; he wanted all glory and all power. He wanted to usurp God and His plan, rather than work with Him and bring His good works to pass.

Scott’s points at the end are valid, however, the insidious nature of the left is relentless in their agenda to brainwash the youth.
it may be that it’s a little from column a and a little from column b
The organizers understand the woke twatwaffles will squeal and whimper like the whiny infantile cry bully forever offended fascists they are, if this group isn’t deplatformed. However, if they make a big deal about it, they can have their cake and eat it too.
By drawing attention to this group that says “hey, this whole thing is kind of shit and we should be talking about how to help them, not hack off body parts and poison them with carcinogenic chemicals their bodies weren’t designed to process” while still bowing to the woke nazi’s.
There is a reason why children cannot enter into contracts. Their brains are not yet fully developed. Children cannot make adult decisions.
Most adults are not capable of making “adult decisions”. Just because an “adult” makes a decision, doesn’t make it an adult decision.
That’s the principle of a name not necessarily applying to the named. “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet” is how Bill put it. Bill the Bard not Bill the Whittle. Our William is good but I would not so burden him as to compare his work to Shakespeare’s, lest his head swell beyond his hat size.
I heard James Dobson say it well as it applies to parenting — “The physical act of having a baby makes you a parent in exactly the same way that buying a grand piano makes you a concert pianist.” Dobson’s point being that a lot more goes into parenting than the mingling of genetic materials resulting in a small person-shaped-animal. It takes work to become a concert pianist or produce a real, sensible, mature human being.
Just so, not all decisions made by legal adults are adult decisions. Oh that it were not so.
Strangely enough, and why I answered you, is that the name is the object named in much of witchcraft and pagan lore. So much so that people in some societies used to conceal their “real name” lest another knowing it thus gain power over them. That’s weird enough but even weirder is that principle becoming more and more common in works of modern fiction and drama. I’m hoping there’s no connection while dreading there might be.
My dad had a much more colorful way of saying this: Any prick and sire a child, but it takes a man to be a father.
While I do so appreciate Bill, the Bard. I kind of like my dad’s take on this one. (ps – this is what he said to me when I started dating – I miss my dad!)
Strategic that way no one pays attention to what they are doing. That is the takeaway I propose. The definitions change when no one is paying attention.
This is just another example of the corruption of major medical academies. If they can promote this, will you trust them on anything else? They’ve been lying about nutrition for years, and now vaccines. Avoid doctors entirely who under the control of Big Pharma.
I got the vax after due diligence researching it. Because I’m in the demographic that it will actually help and has little chance of long term negative side effects. Because I’m just not going to live long enough for those side effects to be a problem.
I didn’t get the COVID shot because I’m scared of dying. I got the shot because I don’t like to be sick. I get a flu shot every year for exactly the same reason. I haven’t been sick a day in over two decades and I like it that way.
That said, I avoid doctors, big Pharma or not, like the plague. I only see a doctor for injuries or infections and there are damn few of those I can’t deal with myself. I’ve noticed that as people start going to the doctor more and more, they die sooner and sooner. This is no doubt because my friends and relatives are aging and have more medical problems than they used to but …
Semi-annual “check ups” lead to quarterly then monthly then weekly doctors office visits. When it gets to weekly visits you’re not going to live much longer.
Then there comes a point where someone gets too old to be profitable and they just let them “die with dignity”. They can keep that crap. I’m not advocating anyone else neglect their health, I’m saying that I’ll die when I die and until then doctors can “practice” on someone else.
Ronette has had 12 roommates in 4 years (suites and apt holding 4 or 6 young ladies) She and two others are the only ones that consider themselves hetero. The others certainly seem to wear as a badge of honor that they are something other than hetero, even if they had to make up some term.
As for pronouns, I informed all the young women who tried to tell me their preferred ones that I was not likely to remember their names after I finished unpacking, so I certainly wasn’t going to remember name and a different pronoun. After looking at me like I had nine eyes, they blinked and moved on.
I remember five out of 12 of their names (well six if you include Ronette).
… which just goes to show that the guys in the video above are right. This gender/pronoun thing is a fad like poodle skirts, saddle shoes and ducktail haircuts. Sadly it is much, much more damaging than those fads of yore which sorely date me.
Wait, are you trying to tell me that my haircut is no longer in style?
Also, I just like the reaction I get when I don’t indulge their infantile displays and hit them with a dose of reality. But I can be kind of a jerk like that. But in a good way.
How many get the social pressure from their parents who WANT to be trendy using their children as props?
Most, and the rest get it from media or their teachers.
Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy
Some parents have always done that to some degree. I can name several instances of parents who wanted to turn their kids into sports stars. When the kids had little to no interest in becoming a major league player themselves, the parents kept pushing past the point where it became anything but pathological.
In one case a kid’s dad wanting him to be an All-Star class baseball pitcher ruined the kid and his relationship to his dad. Basically the dad had unfounded fantasies of going to his local sports bar to watch his kid play ball on TV and brag about him. When the kid failed to make the grade his dad more-or-less disowned him. For ruining his fantasy. That kid has been in and out of jail for alcohol and drug arrests ever since. I don’t think the boy could handle letting his dad down.
I can name several more instances like above. The result is never positive.
Parents screw up their kids in all kinds of ways and for all kinds of reasons. This is just another way they do that.
My vote is for self-absorbed righteousness (this is also call “stupid” in some circles). Doing the woke thing is never the right thing.
As Steve Green says: “Embrace the healing power of ‘and’.” Stupid for ignoring alternate views, and strategic in the sense of this is the way to not be cancelled.
FIFY – minor edit.
Yup. Agreed. I always wonder why they don’t think all they gain at best is being cancelled last.
My vote is for stupid. Almost no-one actually plays 4d chess
