Since you were recently talking about recent Star Wars tragedies, here’s my take.
The Force Awakens: you meet up with an old high school buddy, reminiscing about how great “that party” was, try to have a reunion party to recapture the magic but it just doesn’t get there.
The Last Jedi: you and your friend have been hanging out more often over the past year, only to find he has cancer and presenting all the five stages of grief beginning with anger. A slow, drawn out result but you stick it out for the friendship.
The Last Skywalker: the funeral, you try to put on a strong face for everyone, but just can’t stop asking ‘why should I keep going with this?’, no one answers.
Rogue One: watching a video someone made in drama class in high school.
Solo: that time in band camp that no one wants to talk about.
