The 90s wasn’t the est era for heavy metal, but Tool was one of the few bright spots. And they made some creepy videos, perfect for Halloween:
The video for “Prison Sex” takes on a far more sinister tone when you listen to the lyrics:
“You’re breathing so I guess you’re still alive, even if signs seem to tell me otherwise”
That’s not even the worst:
The lead track off of AEnima, “Stinkfist”, is less creepy, but still disturbing:
And of course, the song that put them on the map, the song that introduced us to scary claymation, “Sober”
Who ya got?

Yeesh! Creepy is right!!! The claymation made me think of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, which was released in 1993, the same year as Sober. I wonder if that played into their decision to go with claymation.
“Prison Sex” and “Stinkfist” both felt like purgatory with Dr. Mengele. LOL. Sober felt like a Saw movie.
Dark indeed all. Perfect for a Halloween reminder that evil seeks our souls…Muh hah hah.
Thanks for posting, Still working on mine.
Halloween is a fun time of year for posting vids – looking forward to yours!
