Friday Night Videos…Vintage Van Halen

I owe a lot of the dispensation of my energetic youth to these guys.  What icons of rock.  First, we have a dynamite 1983 live concert rendition of “Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love” with Diamond Dave at his best…

…sometimes I think of all the education that I missed, but then my homework was never quite like this…

Then, just to show off, they rocked the Billboard Awards 32 years later with Panama…

(for whatever reason, the thumbnail won’t post on this one)

And finally, what Van Halen tribute would be complete without putting the spotlight on the great talent of Eddie Van Halen?  I especially love how much fun HE is having doing something that he loves.  R.I.P.  We miss you.

What ya got?

I never got to see them in the original lineup, but glad I caught Van Hagar on teh MOnsters of Rock your & Diamond Dave on his Little Ain’t Enough tour. Both amazing shows. I am seriously considering flying to Vegas for his retirement shows @ New Years Eve

Diamond Dave on New Year’s Eve in Vegas sounds like a blast. Would do it myself if I could. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened over the years. They and Guns ‘n’ Roses were my two favorites as a teen in the ’80’s. Just rocked it out and perfect timing after Madonna and Cyndi Lauper and all the other pop in the early 80’s. We were starved for real rock!

So much for the show. The venue has already changed Wuhan policy twice and the cheapest individual tix are already over $400 – it’s actually cheaper to buy the VIP packages at this point!

I can’t wait for all of these stupid restrictions to end. The people who rushed to Walmart to buy toilet paper of all things—-not food…not Coleman lanterns…not Coleman heaters…not gas-powered generators or tents or blankets or dry goods or whatever—-are the real obstacle to going back to normal. The MSM has scared the daylights out of them. Pathetic. Time for the adults to retake the wheel.

Then, of course, $400 is the next stop for the Crazy Train. Oy vey!

Joe Rogan interviewed Diamond Dave. Don’t know if you saw it. Interesting guy.

Looks like my videos are going to have to be Sunday night videos. Lol. Scott asked for input on making posts public, so I invested the time and gave it my best shot.

Oh and then there’s work. That old thing.

Later.
