From 1969 – sent to me by my uncle who left Italy in the 50s

Glenn Beck once read from an American Communist Party platform from the 1950s or 1960s, an actual printing of it he owned in his personal ephemera collection. I forget if there were 20 items or 50 items in the list, but it was a list of goals to accomplish “by the turn of the century” (i.e., by 2001). It included specific things aimed at the nuclear family, such as to increase the divorce rate, single motherhood, and especially the out-of-wedlock birthrate (as well as to legalize abortion). It included promoting racial divisions and of course class divisions. It included attacks on patriotism, religion, and morality, and the erosion of all social norms. I am sure that much of Sol Alinsky’s “Rules” came directly from documents such as this. Things like pre-emptively accusing your opponents of whatever immoral thing you plan to do yourself (not accept the results of an election? collude with the Russians?).

It was stunning how many of the goals of the American Communist Party were accomplished by the turn of the century, and continue to be achieved.
