Going Galt Shopping

It is time to initiate an Americans strike.

Although I received no replies, after the woke mob attacked My Pillow retailers I did two things.

First, I went to the My Pillow website and bought two king size My Pillows for my wife and I and purposely paid full price for them even though several promotions were available. (We like the pillows and are going to try their sheet sets)

Secondly, I sent emails to Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohls and Target, informing them I would never step foot in one of their stores again and asked them if they really thought those demanding they stop selling My Pillows were actually their customer base.

I believe the second action was most important and an action conservatives should take up, en masse.

What would be the outcome if we could convince business owners, and it should not be too hard, that the social justice warriorettes are no more than a pack of spoiled children twitting on their eight dollar keyboards from their parents house in their unemployment pajamas.

These over sensitive, looking for a purpose in life, fools are not your customer base demography. The people they hate, while calling their targets haters, are the middle class working people who file through your stores on a daily basis and comprise your true customer base. All of us, these very people, have had our fill of the spoiled brats being raised by idiots and brainwashed by inhabitants of an isolated wasteland in which not a single of their insane theories ever have to work. They will never accomplish anything productive, ever have to write a payroll check or show a profit to keep the doors open. And we, your customer base, are not going to take it anymore.

We are going on strike. We are going on strike against those who bow to spoiled, brainwashed idiots who will never amount to a customer base capable of supporting an economy or producing products and services required for that economy. What this mob demands of you is rejecting and demonizing the at least half of our nation who believes in this nation, our system of governance and economics and wishes to keep building and growing the promise this nation represents to mankind. What do they offer you in return for throwing away your business and your nation?

Will they not call you hateful names? From what I see, the best you’ll receive is a few week reprieve before they go back on their word and come for you.

We will do business only with those who stand up to this mob of fools, malcontents and haters. Remember Chic-fil-A and Goya foods?

Our strike, by the way, will not be a temporary one.

The decision is yours. I used to like your stores, but I can damned sure live without them.

I hadn’t planned on buying My Pillows or anything else like that in the near future, but I just bought a bathrobe and 2 bath sheets from him. Just to support a true American hero.

I don’t need any pillows, blankets, or doggie beds, and I just bought a new set of sheets about three months ago; I find I have to replace my sheets every three or four years. So what to do? I decided I have to support Mike Lindell, so today I bought 2 sets of queen sheets. Call it prepping or stocking up. I’m set for the next 9 to 12 years.

I love this idea. About the only store I go to at this point is Publix for groceries. Otherwise I try to buy everything I need online at places that support my values.

I am the director for an adult education program. Most of our students are adults who never got a high school diploma and find they need an equivalency to do better financially or meet career goals. Sadly, the national agency that administers the tests and issues the equivalency came out early encouraging BLM and sharing the white supremacy baloney. I can not dissociate from them as they are the agency my state contracts with. It sickens me though. There is something very unsavory about such an agency advocating racism, segregation, and self hate. It seems the antithesis of their mission.

Can you not give pointers to your students in the right direction? Rush was great at explaining to students it is ok telling your professors what they want to hear for a grade or to pass a test, as long as you know reality.

That would be unethical. I do not discuss politics or religion in the classroom. The focus is on the work that will enable them to pass the tests. The tests are still administered by the national agency. My argument is with it.

I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but that is why we (Conservatives) fail.
The Left has no objection to doing the unethical or illegal to achieve their goals. As long as we hamstring ourselves by strictly adhering to principle, we are not playing on a level field.
I’m not advocating a total abandonment of ethics and principle. I’m just saying that the time for Queensbury Rules is done.
G, you have to discuss politics in your classroom. The Left has injected it into every aspect of life and society. It is your duty to inform your students what they will be up against, and why what is going on will affect their lives, families and careers. Part of education is instilling of understanding. I learned that from my father, who was one of the best teachers I ever knew, and an unsung pioneer in education.

What would be accomplished if I used my position as director and instructor is I would be fired. The program runs on public funds, there can be no political or religious bias or endorsement and no discrimination. I would have to violate my own principles to exploit my position and access to students and that would sicken me. I have a duty to maintain a neutral classroom.

Jordan B Peterson certainly got his viewpoints across in his classroom. You can argue that it got him into some hot water eventually, but he certainly ended up reaching even more people because of it.

Peterson has tenure.
My salary is paid via county taxes that I have to request every year. When it is your skin on the line do what you want to. My classroom is not my pulpit.

I am able to put myself in my students’ place. I know how I would feel if the instructor preached their religion and politics to me while I was there investing time in achieving my goal. I would resent it, and probably stop attending and find other options. My classroom is not MY space to use. It is the place where I help others achieve.

Your outrage speaks for me. I did the same thing when My Pillow was attacked and cancelled by the worthless, purposeless, brainwashed sjw’s who have nothing better to do than bring misery and hassle to those who have MUCH better things to do. I don’t personally use a pillow, but I bought 2 sets of sheets for my sister who had just purchased a new bed of a different size than she had before. I did hear Mike say that his business is doing better now than ever before because of the support from people like us.

I no longer shop at Target or Kohl’s, have severely curtailed my use of Amazon, and dumped Bombas Socks (sadly… I liked the socks), Netflix and their affiliates. I haven’t used Starbucks in years. When Nordstrom refused to carry Ivanka’s clothing line, I stopped shopping there. I cancelled a Black Rifle coffee subscription, too, after I learned that their management is just as left as the rest. Coffee wasn’t that good anyway, but I thought I was supporting a company that values and honors American traditions. Any business that contacted me to mewl their support of BLM after the Floyd death and riots has become business non grata, and I responded to their emails telling them why.

De and you are exactly right about the management/owners of these businesses. I might add that RedBull ownership has stood up against the threats of cancellation, like Goya did. Chick-Fil-A has wavered on their stand, so I’m not sure I’ll give them my business anymore – oh, I’m sure they will miss the profit from the 2 sandwiches I purchase on an annual basis. Ha ha.

I make a point of being selective about where I shop and try to find only products made in America…or at least not China. They want my business, keep their damned politics to themselves, don’t presume to know what I believe or feel about ANYTHING, and sell me goods from American manufacturers, and other countries that are not communist-run dictatorships.

I suspect there are thousands, I hope millions, out there who are quietly doing the same thing we are. We have much more power than we put to use, dog gone it!!

I feel like I’ll be beating this poor horse, for awhile, but simply stopping patronizing the businesses is no longer enough. We have to get loud, and to a certain point nasty, in order to get their attention.
We have the high ground here, from a marketing and sales position. We ARE the customer base, NOT the sjw and we MUST make sure American businesses understand this.
Let us use parler and locals and rumble to drive this point home.
Let’s make the business owners make an informed, hard and PUBLIC decision who THEY are going to patronize. Are you going to stand with America and YOUR customers or the very people working tirelessly to DESTROY all of us, INCLUDING the democrat socialist party?

Yes, loud voices and “in-your-face don’t ignore me” behavior gets attention. I did express my reasons in the emails to the businesses to which I responded and like you I got no response in return. That doesn’t mean my voice wasn’t heard. Strength in numbers we have, but the requisite nasty, confrontational behavior, and rude language is not so common on our side of the divide. We must get over that. To do otherwise is to concede the fight.

She also thinks Astrology is real.

She started a free speech group on facebook where people were going to be able to say whatever they wanted and discuss whatever they wanted. But some wanted to say and talk about things that upset others members of the group so the group became less free speech as rules and restrictions were put in place. I think the experiment lasted two weeks. I considered her unreliable and a hypocrite after that.

yep, quite womanish of her, I must say. I’m glad she walked away from the Progressives but there’s about 10 things I could list about her that I find objectionable. Most of them are petty, and she still retains vestiges of her indoctrination which escape now and then into the wild. That astrology thing? Honestly, I can’t watch her videos because the tone of her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears, but the segments she does with the gay soothsayer or whatever he is I thought was just a spoof thing. Never watched any of them.

However, she does call out the assholery of the left to people who are influenced by the left, so maybe she contributes something. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I detest Kohl’s, haven’t shopped at Target in years, and will now boycott BB&B. (They’re overpriced anyway.)
The CEO’s/Owners of these companies are fools. They allow their employees to dictate their business model.
They are so weak minded they are no longer “bosses” or “leaders”, but cuck’s on a string. Bowing to their employees whims.
And you’re right.
Most of the SJW’s who get companies “cancelled” don’t buy anything from said companies.
They will wither on the vine and lose their jobs IF their bosses ever get some courage again.

Boycotts are worthless if they don’t understand WHY their sales are declining. I think the best thing is to get them to see the Chic-fil-A and Goya models. Those companies stood up to the mob and the mob boycott became their best ever marketing tool.

Boycotts assist them in losing millions of dollars after their “choices”. I wouldn’t say that is “worthless”.
Letting them know why is a great 2nd step.
But do they give a crap? I don’t know.
The CEO’s/Owners know why it’s happening, If they don’t they’re dumber than a box of rocks or bound by the far left to do as they say. .
They just don’t care or can’t do anything different without severe repercussions from other elite business owners.
Let them rot.

But how long will those repercussions last when they ALL know why they’re going out of business and alternative businesses are cutting deeply into their profit margins? How long before their stockholders dump their stock in favor of winning stock? How long before the stockholders dump the woke CEOs??

Well my fear/predictions are that these “Woke” businesses are playing to the power grabbing social leaders for future preferential status under the socialist regime. This is exactly how it works in China. Also, if they are hurt to bad, maybe they just get a bail out like the bankrupt states such as California and New York. My business has suffered because it promoted/supported the “Woke” agenda…. Now support it so it can continue.

Valid points, but if we don’t try, shame on us. You know one of my favorite memes is the young blond lady in a sea of black burka wearing women and the caption is “Daddy, why didn’t you stop them?”

Good questions, all.
Some MAY wake up when/if they get pressure from their stockholders and board of directors.
Some may NEVER give in to conservatism because they believe so deeply in their “cause” they are willing to go under.
Some simply do not give 2 f**ks, because they can take their money and move to another country, retire, etc. and still get their contractual bonuses.
Those who care not for those they deem “beneath” them will never care about the affects of their actions upon the peasants.
Ego, power, and greed is all they value.

I’m not saying don’t tell them why you’re boycotting them.
I’m just saying they know and they don’t care. They’ve been doing it for years.

I think they don’t care when they believe it is only a few percent of their customer base. When they understand it is 10% and growing, it may have more effect.
Let’s face it, they are bowing to less than 1% of the base because they believe it is more. Remember Bill’s main point, it is not the power you have, but the power others believe you have.
