I really enjoyed reading the thread on watching the various Star Trek series. I have fond memories of the shows and it’s fun to see others enjoying them still.
Another fun show from that era is Hogan’s Heroes. I love how they mocked the evil Nazi’s in the height of the cold war.
If the progressives throw us all into re-education camps I could see this series getting an update in real life.
I’m sure we could have a lively and fun discussion about who fills the roles. I’ll start with a couple.
I think Colonel Klink would be played by Joe Biden. He’s an incompetent leader advanced far above his ability to lead, but others propped him up to advance their agenda.
There are probably some Republican turncoats that want to play Sargent Schultz. Over the last four years they knew nothing about conservatism in the face of their hatred for Donald Trump. But maybe progressive scientists would fit the role better. They “know nothing” about gender or scientific exploration when it conflicts with their ideology.
So who do you think would play these roles? Who is our Colonel Hogan?

If I compared Hogan’s Hero’s to MB2A, I’d say Col. Hogan is Bill W. Scott and Steve would be one of the main POW’s like Newkirk and LeBeau.
The rest of us would be like the rest of the POW’s that knew what was going on and secretly did their part to support the “operation” of the week. Like diversion, watching, listening in on conversations, watching what the guards were doing to see change in routines, etc.
I think we’re all Kinchloe (the radio guy). We’re all getting the communication “out there”. Spreading the word, etc.
We were all “Carter” in our naiveness, but we changed.
On another note, I think Auntie Cackles (Harris) would be Major Hochstetter. Gestapo like, but not too concerned because there are no successful escapes from the camp. Only concerned about doing her “job” and ensuring things are going “to plan”. No rules or laws for Gestapo. Only what the Fuhrer and commanders want. Follows orders without question. Scary.
General Burkhalter represents the 3 letter agencies who are corrupt. All the “minions” of said agencies are like Schultz in that they do what they’re told because they don’t want their 3-day pass cancelled for any reason.
