In defense of MTG, all of these people criticizing MTG for exploring “conspiracy theories” first of all call EVERYTHING a conspiracy theory whether it fits the criteria or not. It’s so EASY and INTELLECTUALLY LAZY to dismiss anything which doesn’t fit your preconceived notions as a conspiracy theory.
Second, if it weren’t for the rest of us, all of these same critics would have completely missed the Great Reset, the “conspiracy theory” that now has a commercial promoting it.
Third, what the hell is wrong with curiosity? I have ZERO problem with people exploring theories. It’s when you cling to those theories despite all evidence to the contrary that a problem arises kinda like…oh I don’t know…systemic racism is responsible for racist police officers routinely gunning down black people for no good reason. Kinda like that.
Fourth, I don’t see all MTG’s critics living large due to their perfect predictions and savvy decision-making. They have one answer to anything out of the ordinary…No thanks I’ll pass.” How lame is that!
Fifth, remember when aliens were a “conspiracy theory.” Now we have network and cable news talking about UFO sightings.
Sixth, how can incorrect beliefs be “lies”? They can be wrong, but they’re not “lies.” Even if you convey your beliefs, you’re not lying if you genuinely believe them.
Seventh, I saw a video the other day which showed a bullet hole in the FRONT WINDSHIELD of the car carrying JFK when he was assassinated yet, supposedly, Lee Harvey Oswald was the only shooter who killed JFK with the magic bullet.
Darn there I go. Spreading “lies” and promoting conspiracy theories again.
Epstein did not kill himself. Doh! There I go again. Another “conspiracy theory.” Good thing I’m not running for office…at least not yet at which point (everyone repeat after me) this conversation never happened.
By the way, Bill Barr claims that there is no evidence to suggest either of the following:
a) Epstein didn’t kill himself or;
b) there was enough fraud to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Both of these are conclusions also pushed by the establishment. Hmmm…. Could Bill Barr be just another guy in the tank for the career establishment politicians? Could they maybe be hiding something?
Could there be some value to engaging in “conspiracy theory”?
THE truth is out there, and I’m not going to feel shame or regret for engaging in the search, most definitely not due to the judgment of hypercritical, whiny, self-absorbed, unaccomplished, insecure, virtue-signaling, easily fake offended pinheads whose reporting on a daily basis is about as close to the truth on critical issues (such as…oh I don’t know…election fraud) as the Earth is to the edge of the universe.

Conspiracy theories are something I know a little bit about, having dealt with people who have taken them to criminal extremes. I’m not claiming to be an expert or any authority, I’m just relating the results of closer experience than a lot of people might have.
Much depends on the nature and depth of the “conspiracy theory” subscribed to.
“The Flat Earth”, “Lizard People Secretly Rule the World”, “Secret Nazi Bases Still Exist and Function in Antarctica”, “The World is Hollow and the Entrance is in the Arctic”, “Noah Came From Mars” … Etc. All conspiracy theories and all in a category that if I know a political candidate has supported with sincerity and conviction, I don’t care what side that candidate is on I would not vote for them. Because that kind of thing shows an unmistakable, unequivocal lack of good sense and responsible judgement. There is a particular psychological condition that goes with that sort of personality and it is a disorder. Endorsing the ridiculous is ridiculous, full stop.
That said, people are subject to persuasion and pretty much anyone can be swayed to some degree by a convincing, sincere argument and especially if that argument is presented by someone that person knows and trusts. People are predisposed to believe things told them by trusted associates. Indeed, that is exactly how even the most preposterous conspiracy theory propagates. It broadcasts itself from an adherent looking for other susceptible minds.
Furthermore, people are prone to confirmation bias and even those of us who are aware of that can still be taken in by our own bias. My point here being that one must be careful casting stones.
The critical factor is what you do with this persuasion and/or bias. If you look into something honestly and subjectively and viewing the evidence and logic of it you base your position on that, then you’re dealing with the world rationally and responsibly. If irrefutable evidence exists to the contrary of your belief and you do not adjust your position accordingly, you’re deluding yourself. There just isn’t any nicer way to put that, sorry.
Viewed this way, it doesn’t really matter what the actual “conspiracy theory” is. A conspiracy theory held in opposition to demonstrable facts is a break with reality. It reflects a faulty worldview. A faulty worldview, if severe enough, is dangerous in people who wield power.
I.E., If the POTUS thinks that global warming is a conspiracy theory (I’m not saying it is or isn’t, that’s not my point. I’m just providing an example) but that pollution and the degradation of the environment are serious issues, then the “conspiracy theory” whether real or not is largely harmless. If the POTUS thinks there are secret Nazi bases in the Antarctic and starts firing nukes at them, we have a madman with his hand on the nuke button.
The depth and nature of the adherence to and endorsement of a conspiracy theory is a critical factor.
So there are degrees and shades of gray involved in this topic of “conspiracy theories”.
There’s also the newly weaponized aspect wherein an opposition might try to label facts as “conspiracy theories”. This is exactly the same tactic as “Everyone against us for any reason to any degree is a racist white supremacist. Even Black people”. This kind of thing is obviously ridiculous on the face of it. Literally, the face of it.
Why am I telling y’all this? Because calling something a conspiracy theory doesn’t make it automatically so. That label can be used as a weapon. BUT — You also need to be aware that there are certainly conspiracy theories, conspiracy theory buffs and victims because there genuinely are real conspiracy theories that are truly ridiculous. AND — Just because someone was temporarily mistaken somewhere back in their life, has done their due diligence and come to the realization that any given, particular conspiracy theory isn’t so … Well that doesn’t make them a nut, just the opposite. It means they came to a rational view of the real world when they discovered the evidence and weighted it logically and sanely.
I’m glad you brought this up. I did mean to include examples of actual conspiracy theories such as the earth is flat and the others you listed as a contrast to whatever “Q” might be saying or other things that are at least worth exploring.
You’re absolutely right. The lack of judgment shown by holding onto a belief that clearly isn’t true disqualifies someone for a position of authority. That’s part of what gets me about MTG. She checked things out then discarded the whole “Q-anon” angle after finding it didn’t pass her smell test. Nothing wrong with that.
I know absolutely nothing about Q-anon, so impossible for me to comment on its validity. Not really interested in pursuing. Just seemed to me from the start that they were leading people around by the nose.
Also agree that we need to be vigilant about confirmation bias. I’m fairly practiced at this point in stepping back and assessing a situation free of emotion from both sides, but it’s easy to fall victim. I’m also willing to change my opinion based on new factual information. On that note, I’ll say that I routinely find the liberal MSM to be much worse in their reporting than conservative sources. I take information from the left with a much bigger grain of salt due to their track record.
Like the left has done with various terms such as racism, I hate that they’ve diluted the term “conspiracy theory.” They have no respect for standards at all. They’ll destroy the integrity of anything…integrity which others before them have built and maintained through tradition…to score cheap points. Then they try to pass themselves off as the intellectual ones. It’s a very lazy practice.
Thanks for taking the time to write your well-reasoned response.
You’re welcome and thank you for not assuming I was criticizing you or your position, getting defensive where there is no offense and taking my thoughts in the spirit they were intended.
Right back at ya. I see no point in being overly sensitive. I’ll defend myself when attacked as some people will online, but even then I try to maintain civility and bring it back to a civil discussion where we’re trying to understand each other and making progress.
Party on Wayne.
Calling something a “conspiracy” does not mean it is fake or wrong. A conspiracy theory is just a scientific speculation based on the information available.
A conspiracy is just a private/secret plan that a specific person/group is implementing with a specific goal that harms their opposition. You notice it is not always illegal, but harmful.
In other words it is a way to beat the opposition. Imagine this as a teams play on the field. They don’t tell the other team what they are doing, so they are conspiring to beat the other team.
The left has turned the definition of conspiracy into a two pronged attack. First it means fake news, and second it means “things idiots believe”. Thus they harm their oppositions position and undermine the oppositions personnel.
I have seen more of my conspiracy theories turn to conspiracy facts than I ever imagined. I no longer refer to conspiracies as theories, but as conspiracy facts.
Nice example is the Time article showing the “Conspiracy Fact” of the leftist cabal existing, planning, coordinating, and conspiring against their opponents (us).
Isn’t it funny how some of the conspiracy theories (as defined by the skeptics) turn into conspiracy facts? I wish we could all make them eat their words somehow, though confidence in the left-leaning media who have weaponized “conspiracy theory” as you say (which I hate) is at an all-time low. People seem to be catching on to their game.
That Time article was just perfect. The author had no idea what she was admitting. If you read the report from the Transition Integrity Project, it’s clear they were planning these moves way ahead of time…

Note what they were considering if Biden had lost (page 18). They were never planning on operating in good faith…
“The Biden Campaign encouraged Western states, particularly California but also Oregon and Washington, and collectively known as “Cascadia,” to secede from the Union unless Congressional Republicans agreed to a set of structural reforms to fix our democratic system to ensure majority rule. With advice from President Obama, the Biden Campaign submitted a proposal to 1) Give statehood to Washington, DC and Puerto Rico; 2) Divide California into five states to more accurately represent its population in the Senate; 3) Require Supreme Court justices to retire at 70; and 4) Eliminate the Electoral College, toensure that the candidate who wins to the popular vote becomes President.”
Thanks for your feedback.
You know what is sad, is that if you could assure me even a 95% verifiable secure elections in and for those new states. I wouldn’t feel so bad. If I could believe that the majority of states, not the majority of people, actually wanted Biden, I would be less bothered, and just watch it all bite them(the voters) in proverbial asses. Biden might as well have been standing on a playground offering candy bars for life, to anyone who would vote for him. That is basically what was promised.
In first two weeks the Biden’s administration has already back tracked on everything that was promised the downtrodden social want-to-bees. These people/voters are actually relying on people that they know lie and cheat, (End justifies the means) to actually do what was promised. lmao
It’s sad but amusing to watch the administration play the old shell game and have the masses try to guess which shell is hiding their reward. It is even sadder when to know that the administration removed the reward and there isn’t anything under any of the shells being moved around on the table.
I hope and pray that those voters wake up. One thing we might have going for us is Beijing Biden’s dismissiveness of the $2,000 check promise. He basically said they’re getting $1400 and that’s that. His tone was like an adult talking to children.
In all honesty, I always figured it was $2,000 total. In fact, I’m pretty sure they said that when they sent out the $600. But then the Cheater-in-Chief said $2,000 after that.
Now they’re talking about not giving it to everyone and fighting with the progressives who think illegals should receive it too. Let them see the sh*tshow along with the clown world impeachment. I don’t see anyone taking this administration seriously except for the fact that he’s doing serious damage.
The goal to have teachers back in ONE DAY A WEEK after 100 days is a joke. Complete lack of a pandemic plan though that’s what they ran on.
More seriously, Beijing Biden just reopened our southern border, isn’t deporting criminal illegals, eliminated the ban for our schools to work with China to indoctrinate our children (https://billwhittlecom.wpenginepowered.com/schools-no-longer-must-disclose-connection-with-chinese-confucius-institutes/), appointed a guy with clear ties to China as head of the CIA and put Eric Schmidt from Google in charge of AI to work with the Defense Department.
The Democrat establishment and the Republicans who helped by condoning all of this are lying, scheming, globalist pukes trying to make us like China with public-private partnerships in control. Now their buddies in big business like Coca-cola are starting to mandate “diversity” quotas in their vendors. They’re trying to enshrine themselves as the ruling class using the Chinese model, and I’ll bet if an establishment Republican had beat Trump and been elected in 2016 that we’d have been taken further down the same path. Thank God for President Trump.

These “moralistic” globalists and the virtue signalers are just the useful idiots as described by Lenin. The communists will get rid of the socialists and the Muslims (addressed in part two) in the end. It’s shocking, disturbing and frightening how much they’ve already accomplished…

One thing I could care less about is the homosexuality other than it’s been used as a weapon against the family. Whatever someone does in their bedroom is their private business and between them and God, and I wish people would stop discussing it. It has nothing to do with how I view someone’s character defined as actions toward others, and I harbor no ill will toward those who practice it nor do I think less of them for it.
God bless.
Yeah we can compare the candy bars for life thing and the paychecks. Now instead of a full size candy bar, you only get one of those snack sized. Bait and switch at its finest.
Face it, there is nothing our side can say or do that won’t be twisted, lied about, put under the microscope, tenaciously investigated going back decades, or used to defame us by the so-aptly described in your last paragraph enemies of the US of A. On a daily basis I shake my head and curl my lip seeing, hearing or reading of something the left is doing or has done that if WE were to do it would bring us up on felony charges of some kind.
They are fearless while we self-censor, self-castigate and seek meekly to gain their approval. Well, not us here at BW, but too many out there who have been cowed into obedience and silence. MTG and DJT should be cloned X a million gazillion trillion.
Those “fearless” far left minions remind me of those who are favored by the CCP or other dictatorial regime, the rest of the “peasants” are scorned and brutalized if they dare do the things the “favored” get away with.
I totally believe ALL who’ve traitored their country away will get their “comeuppance”. I hope it will be glorious.
Hey there De! Save me a seat at the comeuppance. I’ll bring the popcorn!
Sounds good! Make sure that popcorn is well buttered and salted. 🙂
You got that right. Back when movies were open and there was one worth visiting the theater, popcorn with layered butter was a must!
I do not meekly seek anyone’s approval, and especially not that of the left.
Right. I believe that could be said of most if not all of us here.
I’ll second that and agree with Lynda. Most anyone here is marching to the beat of their own drum and united in a common cause to beat those who would seek to control us.
Hey Lynda. The dishonesty from their side is incredibly vexing. I’m so tired of this “both sides do it” garbage when it’s clear that we want to discuss facts and they want to distort the truth.
People keep saying that we can’t agree on the facts or the truth. Wrong! We present facts and evidence. They abandon logic and reason to suit their needs. That’s not both sides having a role. That’s us presenting reality and them refusing to accept it, and there’s no reconciling that with “unity.” They’re such children! We could say the sky is blue, and they would insist otherwise.
I think 75 million Trump voters and a good many Americans beyond that are tired of the double standard. Most just don’t know quite what to do about it yet. The establishment Democrats (and the establishment RINO’s who helped usher in Biden) think they’ve won something. They haven’t. They’ve bought themselves a reckoning that they still don’t see coming.
All of our media is talking about the GOP fracturing. They have no idea that the people are done with the establishment and millions of moderate Democrats are on our side. We’ll see what comes about in the next two to four years. Might take a little time as more and more people see what our career politicians did in rigging the election to get their crony in the White House, but their days are numbered! People are not “getting over” this.
Thanks for your input!
You might even start believing that stuff like THIS happens … oh … wait ….
(Ok, this is weird, the headline is actually “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign that Saved the 2020 Election”, but the link comes up with one with the word “bipartisan”)
The Secret Bipartisan Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election | Time
I know right? They do this stuff all the time. One that currently ticks me off is they keep saying five people were killed in the Capitol protest without mentioning that three were medical emergencies. The fourth and fifth were the protestor who was shot (without a verbal warning) and the officer who died at the hospital. They still can’t find video of him being hit with a fire extinguisher by protestors.
So many examples. I STILL wonder if they infiltrated the Proud Boys. Just so out of character for them to start anything, and the event was just way too convenient for the left to use as justification to demonize Trump and his supporters, to try to impeach him so he couldn’t run again, to label us domestic terrorists and intimidate people from supporting him or a populist movement like MB2A.
It just doesn’t add up. Something’s off.
In addition to “traditional” conspiracies, there is also the “Who will rid me of this troublesome priest?” type. This is a tactic that the left makes great use of. The Left is well-organized, but a large part of that organization is to encourage useful idiots to take their own initiative.
Maxine Waters is a good example of that. She knew or should have known what she was inciting people to do given the already violent nature of their protests.
Trump at the Ellipse specifically called for peaceful protest. Waters says she instructed people to talk to Republican reps knowing full well that they never discuss anything yet favor intimidation and harassment.
I couldn’t agree more. To think conspiracies are are not going on all around you is willfull ignorance and blindness. Every time an organization has a plan to get people to support their cause, buy their product, vote for their candidate, join their organization, and on and on. Any organized effort is a conspiracy. It’s a theory if there is no evidence for the conspiracy, but there are some conspiracies that are secret. A conspiracy to rob a bank, for example. But just dismissing anything you don’t want to believe by calling it a conspiracy theory is intellectually lazy, dishonest, blind and ignorant. Doesn’t mean some theories aren’t false, but doesn’t mean they are, either.
Hey Paul. I’ll never understand why people are so dismissive of the fact that hidden agendas do exist especially when power and trillions of dollars are at stake. I mean for crying out loud, look at how many millions OF THEIR OWN PEOPLE communist leaders have killed. Not that far fetched that the Democrats, or quite frankly, career politicians in both parties, have been rigging elections for years.
I’m so very interested to discover what Sidney Powell and Lin Wood have found. I also wonder what they’ve said to Sidney to make her go silent. As we saw with Michael Flynn, the government doesn’t play nice.
