Bill,
Don’t be sad. Let me share a thought that might make you smile. OK?
Many years ago, back in the early 1980s, I saw a TV news article. It was one of those reporters live on the street kind. In San Francisco. The reporter was talking to the over informed citizens and asking their opinions. You know, the kind of well informed individuals you find loitering on the corners in the tenderloin and other inner cities. THOSE up standing citizens. The question was, “What is your take on the ‘current recession’?” The answers were exactly like one would expect.
“‘Da man’ ain’t done nu’in fer none of us”. Etc. (Yep. You get the picture.)
Meanwhile, in the background of the live shot, there is a small van for a local rapid delivery company. This fellow is shoveling packages into his van as fast as he can work. The reporter walks up to him, he doesn’t slow down or look up at all. She asks him the same question about the “current recession” and his reply was SOLID GOLD. I’ve adopted this as my life philosophy.
He replied, “I don’t know, “I’m not participating in it!”

It kinda really is that easy. Sometimes.
Thank you for this. This is why I am a member of Bill Whittle. All the way from Australia. Having travelled to the US (and loved it), it is sad to watch this seeming demise but stories of everyday life and everyday people being decent to each other – it’s important to remember this is the majority. I’ve deactivated my FB account, avoid Twitter. But I don’t want to be ignorant of what is going on so sometimes you do have to access news/videos. Be discerning in where you source this from and balance it with conservative views/writers/presenters (Whittle, Sowell etc). Thank you for posting this conversation. Michelle
Love t!
That’s great! Thank you for sharing!
