In the year 2525

Good Afternoon,

Gavin Wilson here for the Federal Information Service.  A late breaking decision by the United States Supreme court has a few people to say the least in a state of euphoria.  With more details is our on the street reporter Marty McFly III.  Marty…?

Thank you Gavin.

As you can see behind me, there is a raucous party going on as a result of the landmark Supreme Court decision to overturn a lower court’s ruling that personhood cannot be revoked if the party has reached one year of age.

In a 17 to 4 decision, the Court ruled that parents do have the right to cease the personhood qualification for any offspring under the age of one.  This ruling is a further expansion of the historical 4th trimester abortion ruling dating back to the earlier part of this century/

Advocates for the continued extension of longer periods before personhood is legally conferred have been gathering for many hours before the Supreme Court building waiting for the ruling to be made.

With me is Willa Brown, the Chairman of the Quality of Life Commission.  Willa, what is the significance of this?

Thank you Marty.  This ruling will greatly benefit social program recipients by mitigating unnecessary resource expenditures to those who were formerly considered persons.  This is just another step towards the goal of providing quality social services to residents of the United States by redirecting resources in a appropriate manner.  Further goals include evaluating the personhood qualification for those individuals who may have progressed to state where they are unable to provide their own resources for their medical or psychological care.  We are confident that our endeavors will continue to move forward.

Thank you Willa, best of luck to you.

Back to you Gavin

Agree — great satire. I particularly liked Willa Brown’s reply of pure blather — it had all the right words strung together which meant nothing. Frank, how did you know how to do that? Have you been watching NBC again?
