Jordan B Peterson speaks to Douglas Murray about, well, lots of things really.
“Douglas Murray and I discuss, among other topics, the collapse of grand narratives on the left and the right alike, the potential for the resultant explanatory and motivational void to be filled by more radical ideological ideas, and the dangers posed by the mutual recrimination that all-too-frequently characterizes relationships across the left-right divide“

I watched another interview with Douglas Murray. He obviously doesn’t like Trump and I think it skews his “research” on the topics. He also alluded to being against Brexit (in my opinion) in the same interview, which also explains his “leanings”.
Not that these are “bad” things. Everyone is entitled to their beliefs.
But he also seemed a big arrogant with his “intellect” and demeaning of “lower intelligence voters/supporters”.
Thanks for the link.:)
I have missed Jprdan and I do love Douglas also. My subscripyion to Jordans site is not working, so thanks for the link.
And it’s amazing to me that these two, who are outside American politics and apparently not seeing any of the “alternate media” being so certain that Trump lost the election, cavalierly dismiss all the allegations of election irregularities and fraud simply because most courts refused to look at the evidence citing “lack of standing.”
They also seem to rather cavalierly dismiss the idea that Trump could have persisted in his allegations of a fraudulent outcome of the election because of his narcissism rather than because he felt it was important to ensure that elections are fair.
And both of them are ignorant of the fact that Trump and his team took every legal avenue open to them and not one bit more. If they’re going to opine and critique American politics, perhaps they should spend some more time researching it.
It shows how effective the media are. I think they have good points, but the talk about the courts did completely miss the ‘no standing’ issue
A lot of people seemed to have missed the whole point of the Trump team not being able to get their case heard before the courts.
MSM wins again.
In the kingdom of the philosopher, the one-eyed, one eared, lying purple people eater is KING! I watched only a small bit of the Hurwitz/Jordan un-terview before I turned it off. Hurwitz sounds like hubris…..Don’t think the interview currently mentioned sounds any better.
These guys are perceptive, but I think they both miss the mark when they characterize Trump voters as being “vengeful” toward the Left when they voted for him. They seem to miss the fact that Trump touched a chord in the electorate that wasn’t only a negative against Obama/Hillary, it was a positive message of doing things that would benefit America and Americans in general.
