Scientism leads to bad policy, whatever the subject. Combine it with mercantilism (crony capitalism), and you get this mess we have.
How anyone can listen to Fraudci at this point is beyond me. I think America and the world are waking up to their games. In other words, the jig is up.
Bill mentioned as much in a recent video. I think it was “Around the Horn and Around the Bend.” We all see what’s going on, and we see the need to ditch the establishment wholesale along with the crony capitalists and their “woke” corporations.
The way the left has abused children is horrific. The teachers’ union using them as leverage to gain concessions before going back to work including pressuring the CDC to do their bidding. The climate alarmists scaring our young children. The teachers’ union fighting charter schools and indoctrinating our children with critical race theory. Just terrible.
Scientism does lead to horrible policy. Totally agree. If there’s one silver lining with this shamdemic, it’s that it’s exposed the left to a lot of people for not following the science where it leads.
From what I understand, the reason Mussolini–who started as a socialist–and his fascism were considered right-wing is that he moved slightly to the right of the leftists in his desire to engage in public-private partnerships and use the corporations to help control the people. Seems a lot like crony capitalism.

People, including me, are ticked off after this stolen election. The teachers unions anger us. The lies from Fauci and the fake news anger us. The attempted division over systemic racism angers us. We love our country. It is not racist. We detest being told what to say or do by the Twitter mob. We despise receiving condescending lectures from twentysomethings and liberal academics who are a) wrong and b) can’t find their ass with a flashlight and map. We hate cheaters. We hate bullies. And most importantly, we hate commies like Biden and company.
I WILL NOT let go to waste the sacrifice of good men and women who blazed our trail of freedom like these exceptional souls who held up our flag at Fort McHenry as the entire British Navy gave us everything they had. I simply refuse.

The “If we don’t do something now, in ten years …. the ice caps will melt / the ozone layer will be destroyed / the oceans will become acidic / coastal regions will be under water / Australia will be in permanent drought” (and many more) predictions have been busted over the last 40+ years.
Science is about prediction. “Climate Science” can’t do that, but it is damn good at fear-mongering for the purposes of gaining power and wealth.
The climate alarmists have definitely been champions of fearmongering in the past, and given that they’ve probably known they weren’t following the science, I can only assume they’ve been advancing the globalist, communist agenda. Hell Biden even talked recently about his conversations with Xi and whether authoritarianism might be needed to make decisions quickly enough in an advancing world so we can “keep up.”
But alas, the Internet has broken the left’s grip on the propaganda narrative, and President Trump woke up many Americans by exposing them to the fake news and the existence of the deep state / Swamp. People like Tucker Carlson and, of course, our fearless leaders Bill, Steve and Scott have done their fair share as well.
We have the truth and God on our side. As Bill recently stated when quoting whom he thought to be Gen. McAuliffe at the Battle of the Bulge, “They’ve got us surrounded. The poor bastards.”

It’s called a grand solar minimum. Apparently, solar minimums happen on an eleven year cycle, and every so often we get a grand one that can last for years or decades. Remember the mid 19th century mini ice age?
I read an article a few years ago, the subject being that CO2 from the industrial revolution actually saved the planet, because planetary CO2 levels had become dangerously low.

Not sure if you’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting Tony Heller’s channel. He uses science and history to disprove the climate alarmists on a routine basis. Comes from a technical background. Highly skilled computer microchip designer. At one point, he won an award in Texas from a major manufacturer, Intel I think, for his work on a very commonly used processor.

That is certainly BS category too. As all juggling with the minor factors that mostly could be simply ignored for the green gas effect. Including methane and CO2. As the bulk of the energy is retained by the water vapor.
What really unfortunate about all the eco alarmism is that in the meantime it keeps real issues off the focus. (possibly that is the major goal too, beyond all the involved money.)
The humankind is capable to kill off the current biosphere no problem, for many decades. Several times over. Willingly or by just accident. Not by just a global nuclear war.
I.e. did anyoone count lately how much of what substance is enough to poison the oceans? Causing plankton to die? I have no idea but my estimate is just handful kilos of plutonium would be enough. Or a few hundred tons of oil. If converted to ship accidents that would dump the whole content, I’d not be much surprised if the quota was under 10.
For those unaware, plankton creates the major part of O2 that we have in the atmosphere, so it would not just be losing the whales and then the fish, but kinda what Spaceballs had.
Also, the we used to have the wisdom “We didn’t inherit Earth from our fathers — rather we borrowed it from our grandchildren.” Burning up all the fossils on all kinds of stupid and unnecessary things without adding any value for the future is just poor sportsmanship.
