Even with control of both Houses, there’s no way the Dems will get the 2/3 majority the Constitution requires to convict anyone who has been impeached.
If they take out Pence (by which I assume you mean assassinate because he’s too savvy to do anything impeachable or that could be twisted into something impeachable) they will have utterly given away the game and they’ll be finished. Even a large number of their supporters would turn on them after that.
They would try to claim it was a “far-right nutjob” or something but it will be obvious what really happened.
I was thinking more along the lines of covid.

OK some of us were talking about that two years ago. Its a non starter. Pelosi has already signaled that even after the senate wins (which can still be challenged if voter fraud is proven in either special election) Nancy still does not have the required 2 thirds. And taking out Pence is not an option.
All this is part of the process of giving the left what they want long enough for them to scare the Republican political class into taking a stand voting as a proper party at both the State and Federal levels. This is also about making moderate Democrats and independents see the light.
Then we wait, not for long, until Biden or Harris makes an unlawful command that is unambiguously treasonous. Silicon Valley is already doing its bit to show how fast tyranny can fall on everyone. Then under existing laws without treason or revolution Biden/Harris and others can be impeached. By then A 2/3s vote against them may be easy with Republicans and moderate Democrats realize they are in mortal danger. It’s very hard to play Pork barrel politics while the pork barrel is on fire.
