Every time President Obama speaks following President Trump’s inaugural, I smile, say “January 20, 2017,” and either change the channel or walk away. His fake, clipped singsong, his absurd cadences and his completely artificial droppin’ of the trailin’ “g” to make him sound more authentic, or whatever his willin’ly sycophantic hangers on think it made him sound like, were that f-in’ annoying to me that I had to. Indeed, until recently, my favorite part of the Biden campaign was that he was so repulsive even Barack Obama didn’t want any more connection between himself and the man who was famously pleased Obama knew how a shower worked. That is, until now.
so, in effect, the Biden campaign has nothing to offer me. For most of it, his sheer incompetence meant Obama didn’t want to be connected to it. Now it’s just that the desperation is strong in that bone

I agree completley about Obama’s speaking style. I thought it was both fake and ugly.
To be fair, Trump’s cadences bothered me at first too, and made me wish that someone would teach him to read aloud properly. But he got better at it, and I got used to it, and I hardly notice it anymore.
One must acknowledge the inherent bias here: had I liked Obama’s message, I probably would have eventually gotten to like his speaking style instead of cringing when I heard it. And if I were a Trump-hater, his speaking style would probably drive me up the wall.
But one difference is that Trump’s speaking style is just one small part of his larger-than-life style and personality. With Obama, his speaking style was 90% of the package.
The funny thing to me is that Trump’s style, grating as it can often be, is his. Uniquely. Meanwhile, Kamala Harris, both Obamas, and numerous other democrat luminaries all have the same g droppin’, corn shuckin’, Sunday go-to-meetin’, fake liltin’, singsong cadence that gives me the impression that they just know they are above the local yokels, and I can not comprehend how people don’t see through it.
