Sunny Hostin, panelist on The View, says that Jesus would be grand marshal of a gay pride parade. But which Bible do they use in Sunny School?

The perverts invoke King Jesus to justify their perversions because they think they’re calling out some supposed logical inconsistency in the argument of decent people. Jesus was gentle with those who KNEW they were sinners because their society pounded that fact into them every minute. Today, the perverts & reprobates are the Pharisees (who Jesus was harsh with, duh) because they have NO IDEA that they’re sinners, because our society tells them they’re wonderful every minute.
One reason why Jesus wrote the names of the Pharisees in the dirt is to fulfill Jer 17:13 (“those who turn away from you shall be written in the earth, for they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living water.)
Sunny seems to have missed the parts of the Bible about Sodom and Gomorrah.
I saw a thing on FB a few months back where somebody was asking whether Jesus would wear a mask. And of course, the doctor was claiming he would. Because he wanted t encourage others to save their own lives. I responded negatively- Jesus would have been walking around touching people and curing them. And THAT was when my aunt blocked me.
Bill is right- they try to invoke the authority of Jesus when they don’t really believe in his teachings.
Who was Jesus? C.S, Lewis has a narrative regarding what he is and is not. Also that he proclaims what He said he is. The Son of God. No other explanation is possible. He did not leave that to us to consider.
This conversation was hard for me because I want to make sure justice is served on my timeline. I want fire from the sky to consume the “shrieking harpies” I want my justice, and I want it now. This, for me, is one of the hardest aspects of being a Christian–leaving the justice to God.
Why don’t Leftists ever disrespect Islam the way they dis on Christianity? To paraphrase Han Solo, “Beause Christians don’t behead people who disrespect their reigion. Muslims have been known to do that.”
“I understand, sir. I suggest a new tactic – let the Muslim win.”
You guys left me with nothing to add. Excellent points on all sides.
Definitely one of your best! Thanks, Bill, for mentioning the 12 Step Programs. I was in the program called Al Alon which many in AA considered “enemies” until through one way or another they realized that we were using the same tools of recovery and, “Miracle of Miracles”, the same 12 Steps were used. Al Anon works for those living with “addictions” because a “Higher Power” and the 12 Steps work because the principles of recovery are the same. The principles of a Higher Power, thru the miracle of the “simple” but not so easy 12 Steps, actually works! It works because I and thousands of others believe that a “Higher Power” that I choose to call God works.
