Just another intro…

So, yeah. Another “newbie” intro/welcome post.

I moved to my new place here in Abq, NM just over 10 years ago now, from the “left coast” (beautiful Victoria, BC) of Canada – I’d been reading, watching, following these guys even before moving south, so, long time listener to say the least. 

I married into a family is mostly very “left” but I really suspect that is the old “by default” thing – it’s not very cool to be conservative, or so they believe. 

With a gay step-daughter firmly in the expected lbqt camp, heads were butted frequently, though I always saw little signs that aside from those things she was very much in the conservative camp deny it as she may (and did) – perhaps that was a factor in how that relationship evolved. She’s moved to another city, been through the marriage/divorce…all through it, I may be the one (according to her) that’s made the best effort to be supportive and keep in touch…love her for that.

Non-politics now…Steve…love that area where you live, that part of southern Colorado is awesome. We’re driving up in a couple weeks for Bryan Ferry’s show in Denver. To make it a really nice weekend getaway we’re doing the dinner train from Canon City the night before (done it before, and it’s a very special to us…it was on one of those trains that I proposed to the future Mrs about 10 years ago.
