Okay Bill, it’s not 007’s Jetpack… likely more R&D expense than the H2O2 fuel jetpack, AND it’s several years overdue by Whittle expectations, but it did fly from France, across the channel, into England and land safely…
I have no idea if it’s over budget; that was just marketing (as is the blue/gold gradient… no alien anti-gravity tech involved.)
Despite the shortcomings… still pretty fun to watch!
Depending on the noise and proximity to hostiles, I can see this tech being used to insert an operative into a very difficult to reach area. I’m curious what kind of payloads could be carried or if they’d need to drop equipment in beforehand.
