Dear friends,
My morning was brightened by a new video from Doreen Tipton. Doreen is a satirical comic character created by Gill Jordan. As Gill is very much at odds with the current Woke culture and collectivist mindset she gave up trying to get on legacy media and did it herself online.
In American terms I think Doreen would be classed as poor white trash. She’s from the Black Country, an area of England’s West Midlands, northwest of Birmingham. The name comes from the coal and soot of the Industrial Revolution that made the area. The local rivalry between folk from Birmingham (Brummies) and those from the Black Country (Yam Yams) features in her comedy. Her videos often carry pretty sound messages, tucked into the comedy.
I’d be very interested to see how well folk on BW.com get on with her (toned down) Black Country accent and the references. YT’s auto-generated subtitles don’t really help. I just watched one with subs and it rendered the words “You’re a lazy cow.” (which in Black Country is more like “Yam a lazy cah.”) as “emelizia que”. “My kids/Mah kids” became “markets”, and “arse” became “house”. She also indulges in deliberate mix ups of words, like “pubic sector” instead of “public sector”. The Wikipedia page on the Black Country dialect has a useful list of words and pronunciations. As with many British vids, there are some f-bombs, but it’s not too bad.

Here are three of her videos. The first is the one from this morning, taking a sceptical look at climate change and the establishment reaction to it. The second is a spoof political broadcast she made after the Brexit vote in 2016 but before The Donald’s election (which she predicts). I love this one, the second half especially as the music swells and she passionately extols the virtues of culture and identity, still makes me tear up. The last is the little vid that started it all and ensured she’d never be on “The Telly”. A brief spoof documentary sending up the heart rending pieces about folk on benefits made by the TV mates of the leftist politicians who use them to justify more intervention. It has some classic lines like. “There’s prejudice ain’t there? As soon as I tell ’em I don’t want they job they ain’t interested…”
I hope you enjoy them.

Thanks so much for the introduction. Enjoyed the videos. So much truth. Now, I’m just off to the benefits office and then to the pub.
Well, that woman is a real gem who must be under that age of 20 since she cannot “switch off a f****** light.” 😉
Thanks.
