The Brain is the most important organ in the body… says THE BRAIN. What does that tell you about a woman who thinks we should only breed small people?

I am proud to say that I am 6’7″ and my wife and I had 3 sons who were all over 6’2″ and a daughter that is 5′ 10″ so we have consumed more than our fair share and produced more than our allotted amount of CO2. I love it when a plan comes together
And seรฑora Verde is down w/ that, Steve?
Hi Guys,
Just dropping in to say that the late postings — AND the initial lockout on the Backstage show — were due either to my personal incompetence after I decided to get more hands-on withe the content…OR high-energy plasma from the massive new sunspot labeled 484.
C’mon, Bill – you have a reputation to uphold for the worst produced shows on the internet! ๐ (Though lately Steve Green and Stephen Kruiser are giving you a run for your money when they do their live 5 o’clock somewhere over at PJ)
Also, clearly Scott is no longer allowed vacation time. That’s what you get for being a soft boss! Time off, indeed.
We have patience, good sir knight. No worries.
@Steve Green – you better let Melissa know you put this one out there. You may get some messages from shorter ladies and she might feel compelled to disappear you! ๐
Oh, man I loved the outtake at the end. That was great!!
“Let’s get small” – Ah, the double edged sword of being part of Generation X – we have some great pop culture references, like that Steve Martin quote. And nobody under the age of 50 will get it
You have to give fat people a break. They have a lot on their plate.
As a fat lad, I resemble that remark. ๐
Not for long they don’t. They eat the plate clean. That’s why they are fat.
Note: I am overweight, but losing about a pound per month for 3 years. 20 to 25 pounds more and I should be about right.
Harry – when I first read your comment, I somehow skipped the word pounds after 25. So it read in my mind as you had 20 -25 more YEARS to go!!
I saw a cardiologist a few years back, he said I could get off my BP and cholesterol med if I lost weight. Then said what he thought I should weigh.
ME: Doc, that’s what I weighed when I graduated from college,
DOC: Exactly my point!
That number was 55# less than I weighed at the time.
I had gotten within 15# when Covid hit. Between the lock downs and losing my mom early on in it (she had terrible COPD and was likely not surviving 2020 regardless of Covid) I stopped working at it.
Now I have to lose the covid 20 and then the last 15.
We’ll get there. We know what to do, just gotta do it.
Lets see. I’m 67 now. Add 25 years. 92. Possible, but not likely.
Ironic scenario: I weigh myself at 92. Hit correct weight. See it, drop dead of heart attack due to shock.
And I lost weight during Covid. Seem to be slowing weight loss.
Bill is wrong about never being middle class unit the US. There had always been middle class. But they were normally skilled tradesmen.
Until the US, the poor drastically outnumbered the middle class and the rich put together. In the US, the middle class outnumber the poor.
The elites do hate the middle class because:
They are harder to control.
They have too much good stuff that only the elites should have.
There are way too many of them. They outnumber the rich. Too scary!
Yup, the middle classes in England were well established long before their advent of the US. The yeoman farmers in the country, and the trade and craftsmen in the cities, constituted a confident and prosperous middle class from the middle ages onward. There would have been no civil wars in the 1640s if not for the “middling sort”.
Oddly enough, I was thinking about the middle class in ancient Egypt. Stone masons carving the “gods” for example.
Also gold smiths and silver smiths at any time period.
Any highly skilled jobs that catered mainly to the rich ended up middle class, if not wealthy themselves.
Also the money wealthy with no titles sometimes married into landed nobles that were land and title rich, but cash poor.
Racked my brain and came to the conclusion that being shorter might help in interplanetary travel. Came up short everywhere else.
Pretty sure the title of the piece should have been smaller people would be better for the planet, not shorter people. But that would be politically incorrect. But it’s such a farcical premise that you have to shake your head. After all, the Navi in AVATAR are tall and slim. And they’re the liberal ideal, right?
Goodperson Syndrome as my friend Morgan Freeberg puts it. And it piggybacks off of our desire for validation. And that desire serves a good purpose, don’t get me wrong – but like any sense, it can be overdeveloped.
Actually accidentally watched “Strange World” the other night… oh, what a drippingly-woke bit of schlock. If we weren’t in someone else’s house, the channel would have been changed as soon as I figured out what movie it was and where it was going … and I had no idea it was going to go to ALL the places.
No, no … it seems like we should only let short people have sex at all … what, do you want to put off saving the planet????
