Gotcha journalism at its finest, as Steve Green ambushes Bill Whittle and Scott Ott with the hottest and weirdest news stories of the week. See the full archive of Right Angle.
Lightning Round LIV topics include…
Los Angeles to spend $3 billion to house homeless — about $51,000 on each person, which is roughly the median income in the U.S.. What will L.A. taxpayers (and homeless folks) get for that money?
Angry Mom who confronts New York City Mayor Eric Adams on the toddler mask mandate and gets fired within the hour. This, in the city where you can say “Gay” as much as you want.
Palm Springs City Council will pay 20 transgender or non-binary residents up to $900/month in a Universal Basic Income (UBI) experiment. Will they use the funds to dress for success?
Radio station WMAL cans conservative host Amber Athey over joke about Vice President Kamala Harris’ pantsuit. What can a brown joke do for you? Get you fired.
Truth Social execs (get) quit, perhaps over delayed and defective rollout of Donald Trump’s social media app. Is Trump too reluctant to say “You’re fired”?

A corollary to Scott’s comment about racial jokes is that each fake hate crime that is drummed up in the media until it comes out that the person complaining is the person who hung the noose/painted the graffiti/put up the sign/hired the goons to assault him in frigid weather at 2 am.
The more of the frauds that are perpetrated, covered and then discovered, the more likely it is that anyone that is actually racially attacked will not be believed. It is almost like crying wolf, but saying some else saw the wolf.
Wow! I signed up for Truth Social on Feb 22, and am STILL waiting to get in. After hearing this, I’m not going to hold my breath that I will any time soon.
Is that radio station a “conservative” voice actually run by loopy leftists?
Re Amber Athey – She was on the Dan Bongino podcast on Monday or Tuesday. She explained what happened to her in detail. Bongino invited her to appear on his daily Cumulus Radio program, she’d be on 2 days a week reporting on whatever. WMAL is owned by…….
Cumulus. The Dan Bongino show is carried on WMAL.
Too funny. Some schmuck at WMAL fires her for a pantsuit joke, and now said schmuck HAS to listen to Amber twice a week on a nationally syndicated radio show carried by Schmuck’s station.
Ahhhh. Winning.
Awesome! 🇺🇲⚖️
I’ll take all the usual slurs of being a racist, sexist, homophobe etc. ad infinitum, by simply saying that there are but two (2) biological sexes available (with the caveat of the extremely rare case of an actual hermaphrodite), and the physical manifestations and functions to differentiate them are blatantly obvious. If a person believes themselves to be the opposite sex, or anything else, they are quite simply delusional, which is as Scott said, a serious mental condition that prevents a person from living in and dealing with reality. To be so desperately deluded as to cause oneself bodily harm and alteration is beyond any normal definition of serious mental illness. Now personally, I really don’t care how they choose to dress, or what they want to call themselves, but I do care in what manner they expect and require me, and society, to interact with them. Women’s sports and bathroom roulette are prime examples of the extreme overreach that this issue is foisting on society at large!
I’m perfectly willing to allow them to live their delusion, as long as it does not negatively impact anyone else in any way, but I will not accept nor share their delusion as any kind of normal, as that would mean that I too would be delusional.
If I were to decide that my real self is actually The God, King, Emperor of the entire Universe, and that everyone in the world must now bow down to me, and send me large percentages of their total wealth, would anyone create laws so that everyone must comply with that sample delusion?
If not, why not???
They seem more than willing to be falling all over themselves in the rush to create laws to make us all bow down and give large percentages of our wealth to the self mutilating, sexually dysphoric, and mentally disturbed people who may best be described as Birth Sex Deniers!!!
You’re not free Scott, Bill said you are NOT fired. Nice try, you would be missed.
I didn’t notice that until I watch the recording. Oh, well, there’s always next week.
Always a fun time, gents. This was especially good.
I really like when there is back and forth and Scott and Bill chime in on the “other person’s” topic.
So long as they are respectful of Mr. Green and not talk over him. I hope this episode will allow me to retire this meme!
Amen! I love his dry sense of humor.
There’s a delay in our Skype connection. No one does that on purpose. Nevertheless, I like the meme.
The Obama-Girl is still useful after all of the years!
“It could be correlation not causation.” <rolling my eyes>
Outrage at trivialities accomplishes exactly what is intended … distract people from actual problems needing resolution.
Anyone who calls me a racist because I am fair-skinned is guilty of projection and distraction.
From what I’ve rad about Truth, Trump pushed the product launch long before everyone knew it would be ready. I don’t know how reliable the sources are, but it would explain things.
Hopefully Truth recovers from a rocky start the way Trump’s presidency did
Even worse, the “complaint” that WMAL got was from just a few Twitter Leftoids. I don’t know how much their local personalities talked about it, but in the few minutes I listened while running errands in the afternoon they made a point to make jokes about dressing up like UPS drivers
How did the disaster created by the “stimulus” checks not kill the UBI argumen once and for all?
Leftist don’t measure by outcome – only by intent.
Results don’t matter.
They want their real results, not spoken ones. That is: power. People utterly dependant on them so that they are given power to do what they want. Everything else is irrelevant.
As I’ve tried to point out to New Yorkers, bringing back all of the crime of the 70s isn’t going to give a new rise to punk rock, reopen CBGB & Studio 54, or make cocaine cool again. All it’s doing is turning your city into a s*** holoe.
I’m reading a book – a biography of a Sioux Chief in the 20th century — and in the part I hit a couple nights ago he talks about what happened when the government came in and removed them from their livlihoods – that being the WORK they had to do to obtain it, which essentially gave them LOTS of time, no source of self-worth (other than the psuedo-high of victimhood status), and enough money to buy alcohol and other drugs to fill the time and the deep void inside. $51K per homeless person? Yeah, sounds like the perfect recipe.
Anthony Bordain. Seeing the pushers and hookers makes him feel better about himself. Period. “Authentic”. Please.
Come to New York where you can say Gay! Gay! Gay! Gay! right up until you’re Tammy Bruce or Andy Ngo or any number of other gay people who care about (ironically) the first amendment or the second or the fifth or the tenth….
Paid to be gay? Back to Fool’s Crow’s observation.
I hope you’re right about looking back on these days some day and shaking our heads about what it is that these people are doing to people who actually need real help.
Racist joke … about a pants suit. Everything is racist. Whatever. I don’t care anymore. And it’s their (the self-anointed “progressives’) fault. I think their point is more “subtle” … I think the alleged “racist” dimension of the remark was probably about the blue-collar profession they cast her in, kind of like Joe Biden talking about 7-11 employees.
You find Scott’s speech repugnant and you’re going to have to … start up a new company to make, say … shaving cream?
I had really similar problems signing up for another alt social network a few years ago … I mean REALLY similar problems. I can’t remember the name of it – because I don’t use it. Because the vast majority of my friends and family are not on them, they’re on facebook. Which is the top reason I have a facebook account.
Someone needs to take a page from Elon Musk and buy a big chunk of facebook. I think this is the only way out, given the almost monopoly facebook has on users and the splintered, not-very-good nature of the alternatives. Maybe Musk will become the Anti-Soros.
There’s always hope, right?
