When I was in Norway in 1997, I traveled to Preikestolen “Pulpit Rock” on the Lysefjord.
It is a slab of rock not yet fallen that sits on a cliff 2000 feet straight above the fjord.
My Norwegian air traffic controller cousin and I sat on the edge of the rock with our feet dangling over the side.

There were no rails, no guards and the rock was full of people. Two German students lay face up with their heads almost over the edge while a female student straddled them with her feet and took a photo of their heads showing the scene straight down. One little whoozie and she would have been gone.

I highly recommend the move “The Wave”. It is in Norwegian with subtitles, but it addresses what happens when one of these falls into the fjord.

Good movie, my wife and I saw it a while ago, and both enjoyed it. I usually am not a big fan of subtitles but this movie I even forgot they were on there the movie was so good.
The level of trust is endearing.
