With a highly-sexualized society, rivaling the depths of Roman depravity, can you even talk about lust vs. chastity? Does it matter in the context of life in 2021?

The availability of online porn, and its consequential effects on society; young men choosing not to even date, sexual addiction and the need for more and more degradation for the same buzz, the normalization of the abnormal leading to unreasonable expectations of actual partners, and the sexualization of children is a perfect example of why chastity is a big deal. Not to mention that men and women are affected differently by sex. One of many reasons that women are not happier after 50+ years of sexual revolution.
I am going to really enjoy these next 6 videos. Great concept and excellent input from both.
Lust within marriage is a wonderful thing.
Bill, you’re a hero. Where’s your theme music? As Bernie Casey said, “Every good hero should have some.”
Now, I don’t mean the Firewall theme music. That ends dark and ominous, and for good reason. And I don’t mean Right Angle either. You need something more dramatic. No, not Shaft, that’s already been taken. Maybe Zo can help. It appears he has a whole studio right there. 🤷🏼♂️
Faith of the heart is the obvious choice

But then Bill would have to license it. Besides, he needs HIS OWN theme music. 🤔
I’d say “worth it” but sure, if someone here is up to composing, I’ll be happy to evaluate.
I think Zo’s explanation starting at 7:10 is very compelling. Jordon Peterson has made the point that we’re kind of wired to live happier if we assume God exists. (That’s a tremendous simplification.)
Back in the 60’s we young males were constantly trying to get girls to “give it up.” But lucky for all of us most of the girls were a lot stronger than we males!
I think that has probably turned around these days where it might be the girls that are pushing for sex harder than the males. NOT GOOD !
An excellent video with some very pertinent insights for today’s society.
My Grandfather had a saying that struck me as true as a young boy, “A woman is as old as she looks, but a man isn’t old until he stops looking!” How true this is because I’m 76 and haven’t stopped looking yet, although the mechanics might not function properly as of late. This desire is built into humanity and my biggest revelation was when I realized women look back! The first woman I had sex with became my wife of 35 years until she passed. The desire is still there, but I haven’t commited to anyone since.
I appreciate Zo’s point that chastity it is obedience to God. There have been the studies that show that people who can accept “delayed gratification” tend to be more successful in life. Why shouldn’t we extend that thought to sex? God knows!
