Memorial day for me brings to mind the thousands who have perished in defense of our republic, those who have selflessly given their very lives so that the people of the United States can live in a free country, bought with their ultimate sacrifice.
I always remember my friend and fellow soldier from our time at language school in Monterey CA, Kyu Chay. We were in the Army, training to become linguists and cryptanalysts, and Kyu went on to become much more. I served with a few truly exceptional men and Kyu Chay was one of them, the nation has been blessed to have people like him in her service.
Thank you for your sacrifice brother.
