A blog came up on my Facebook feed. its a former US army officer that ended up a mercenary working with the Kurdish militia in Syria, the People’s Protection Units (YPG). He would up creating a field hospital. They had made no attempt to do field medicine. Worst combination of communism and Islamic fanaticism possible.
As I’ve indicated in comments most official US army units were not working with the communist YPG. Some western reporters were. The YPG are using world war one tactics with massive casualties. In some cases western commando units, Air and Artillery units were making the kills while YPG were taking the credit. That confused the hell out of the ISIS people. With ISIS almost gone the YPG and other communist forces turned on other allies but that’s not in the article below.
