Self-described progressive and Biden voter Naomi Wolf discussing the power grabs using this pandemic as an excuse, and the current pushback at the grassroots and state legislature level against tyranny.
A wonderful example of a progressive understanding that the conservatives are correct and the Democrats are wrong.

I wanted to elaborate a little bit. There is so much in this interview which reflects many of the things that Bill has been saying for years.
But the one thing he’s said that really sticks is: we are the Kraken. This interview demonstrates the current trend of the grassroots taking back our country right now. People have gone out and filled those empty Republican party positions at the precinct level, they have run for school boards and city councils, and they are winning. And even prominent progressives are organizing and speaking out.

Thanks, Barbara! I’ve done it before, but I can’t find the icon, either here or on my personal “what you ‘ve posted” page. (It’s different for blog posts vs. replies–or it used to be.) It might be an accessibility issue (I’m light sensitive and have to override colors to make everything have black backgrounds and light text, and it’s not unusual for an icon to be difficult to spot– but in this case I can’t find it even by methodically moving my mouse over the area in a search pattern.) Not the end of the world. 🙂
Laura, what did Bill tell us yesterday about the schedule for this week? I can’t find his message that he left as a comment. Sorry you couldn’t find the icon. It looks like a small picture in the lower right. Thanks for all.

“Well, I got in to the studio this morning at 9am Pacific to discover that the video card on the production machine appears to have given up the ghost.
Steve and Scott were gracious enough to reschedule today’s Right Angle shoot for the earliest next common available time slot, which will be 6am Pacific tomorrow. That’s likely going to put the week’s release schedule back by one day this week.
For those stalwarts that manage to attend the live MB2A tapings, I should be able to record today’s MB2A tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9:00, and push Thursday’s taping to Friday for this week only.
Sorry for the inconvenience and we will see you for the RA Backstage show tomorrow morning. “

When I glance over the topics people blog post on here I always look at the author’s name. I’ve gotten to know enough about some of the people in here that I know if I’m likely to see the topic addressed in a certain way. Then I decide if I’m going to read it and if so the tone of any comments I might post. I’m always on the lookout for the good as well as the bad so …
When I saw that Bill Whittle had posted a blog entry entitled “Zapped!” I figured I had better see what Bill had to say.
That occurred after futilely looking for the day’s video and the Backstage episode that should have gone up the night before. I like Backstage a lot so maybe I was a little more diligent than usual in looking for a reason and just caught Bill’s blog post in the process.
It never occurred to me it would be under a blog post as I thought blog posts were for members only. Now I’ll know better! Thanks again. Did you see the CDC latest – no more masks. I never wore one anyway, but there’s many who do and now they are FREE (if only they know it!)
It didn’t occur to me that they’d post systemwide announcements on blog posts either. I just happened to run across it and wouldn’t have had I not the habit of reading who posted. It was just luck and when I saw your question above I realize you were in the same boat.

I found it and it’s true. Except for the fact that states, municipalities and businesses can still require them if they want to.
I think someone should start a website naming businesses that demand mask wearing inside in contravention to CDC guidelines. Then recommend alternate businesses where the same goods can be purchased. That way we’d know both where to shop and where not to and let our money do our talking for us.

Yeah, the people are supposed to be the Kraken.
However, the most recent episode (“Loving the Armband”) explains why they usually chose to switch and work for their tormentors instead.
Just watched that episode, and commented over there. Fascinating and insightful.
However, I think the Kraken is ordinary people who remained entirely apolitical until recently, or the 2009-10 Tea Party. Either Trump got them excited for the first time ever, or the craziness of masks and shutdowns (and a lot of Biden’s terrible policies, not to mention the election itself and its aftermath, even if they didn’t vote, or voted for Biden) have opened their eyes. Mothers who thought Trump was so offensive they couldn’t vote for him are now chewing out school boards for their masking policies that ignore scientific data. People are appalled by all the connections between prominent people and the CCP. And on and on. It’s accelerating.
In my opinion, the sleeping giant has awakened. And as Bill has often said, that giant hasn’t been awakened since Pearl Harbor. Even 9/11 didn’t make it really angry. It’s angry now.
