NASA Finds Evidence of Time-Flipped Parallel Universe Over Antarctic

The NASA Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) finds tau neutrino high energy particles rising from Earth — too heavy to have passed through the Earth — and offers the “simplest explanation”: another universe where time runs backward. What are the consequences of a time-flipped parallel universe for your life? Are you — like Merlin — already living your life in reverse?

It turns out that there has been no parallel universe discovered no matter which way you might think time runs in it. There is nothing in the actual papers about the finding that makes any such claim. Once again, the media shows that “science reporters” are merely regular reporters assigned to the science beat, with no real knowledge of the topics they cover.

This video, by excellent science YouTuber Anton Petrov, explains: https://youtu.be/9W7oLE05JoA

This whole chimp brain, human brain limitation thing really came into focus for me, personally, the first time that I realized that Einstein figured out his theory of relativity sitting on a park bench at a time when most of the sciences were still in an embryologic state. Who thinks of riding on a wave of light and figuring out that time no longer holds onto its standard? Who leaps from this to postulation of gravity distorting when encountering mass and the necessity of black holes?
Humbling.

I read the original report. Of all the current comments, I recommend Michael Piz’s reply for accuracy and would like to add my two cents.
Will somebody explain to me how ANY concept declaring “Multi-Universe” is NOT an Oxymoron?
IF the definition of “UNIVERSE” means anything at all, it means every THING, every WHERE, that has ever existed, does exist, can ever possibly exist; IE: every WHEN ” If it exists, it is IN the Universe. If it is not in the Universe, it does not and can not Exist! (I have a whole chapter on this.)
Any “Multi-Universe” denies/contradicts that rational definition. This is an epistemological truth. If we give up the definition of Universe we give up logic, reason ,Science and any chance for peace on Earth. Period. “Multi-Universe” is anti-rational.
We live in the “known realm of the Universe.” The “Unknown realm” holds many surprises, some lurking around the next corner. But they DO exist, and they CAN hurt us.
Different realms of the Universe work to differing laws of nature;EG, the behavior of Sub-Atomic particles does not follow the same rules as Molecular particles; animate (living) matter does not have to follow the same rules that inanimate matter must follow.
Until we start defending the basic definitions of Philosophy which support Reason, Science, Nature and Reality, we will remain victims of the Irrational Philosophers that have taken over our Education system from the ‘higher learning’ establishment on down.
I could go on but this is the thesis of my Book, “Simple Straight Answers to Life’s Ultimate Questions” that I am finishing up for release later this year. So please, if you repeat my ideas, use my name.
And if you wish to debate/refute them, I’ll have my website and blog up soon. Thank you for reading Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚ JCR

I think the more basic problem is the inadequacy of the current English words with which we are trying to communicate. The “known realm of the Universe” is a rather clumsy term to call the whole realm of matter, ati-mater, galaxies, planets, etc that we feel we know. Perhaps you will invent a term that people feel adequately describes this “universe”. Some people try to call it the “cosmos” but that has the same problem. One does need a term for this “universe” as opposed the vastness of the parts of existence that we do not know or can not enter or experience. Yes, you can fight for language, but sometimes the real problem is that language isn’t big enough.

It’s been called the “known universe” for a long time. Jon added a few words, that’s all. ๐Ÿ™‚

The stuff we haven’t seen yet is just part of the universe. There is only one. What is commonly called “other universes” in the “multiverse” is just the idea that other regions of the universe might have different physical behavior and so might be inaccessible to us. (At least in the form we have here; we may change as we cross into those regions because of the different behavior. I don’t like the term “laws,” as mentioned in my main comment.)

Although I have no objection to the idea of being able to go “back in time”, I think there are different ways to explain the phenomenon described. I guess the real question is “who” can go back in time. From what God tells us of himself, the better description would be that He is the One looking at (and experiencing) the whole “record” of time AT ONCE. (Well, if you could accurately describe God’s experience in temporal words, which is doubtful.) This would be why it seams God “knows” what is going to happen in the “future” and then can take action in the “past” to alter the “future”. There may be other things that also exist in all “time” at once.

Any hoo, so far I’ve counted from Biblical and historical records (put logically) approximately 9 “dimensions” of …ah… I guess you could call it “reality”. Thee dimensions of space, three dimensions of time and three dimensions of “spirit” (I guess you would call it) where we as human beings inhabit 7 of those “dimensions”. I’m not sure what the other ones would be. I don’t know that I would consider sub atomic to be a separate “dimension”.

What “exists” beyond the expanded “universe” (which is definitely frayed at the edges)? Well, there is a possibility that what is at the “edge” of the universe is God…like our little universe is simply the hole in the middle of the record. And God seems to think He “exists”.

The best insight into the universe comes from people fortunate (unfortunate?) enough to have died, but then returned to consciousness, and remember fragments of the intervening time. See iands.com.
My best guess is the illusion of time is simply the one-way direction our brains operate, our universe is trivially small, among infinite other universes, and the fundamental force creating everything we perceive and much more that we can’t, is something we call love.

I’m constantly reminded that I am, in fact getting older, no matter how Merlynesque I perceive my thinking to be.
At some time in the continuum, I hope to commune with the intelligence that designed all of this.

We are indeed an amazing species, “fearfully and wonderfully made,” because we were created by an an amazing Creator.

I can’t begin to understand any of this, as I can’t really understand God. If I could understand Him, I could control Him. I only have to know He is there, and be eternally grateful for the gift of His Son, Who died that I may live.

One of the biggest problems in physics that I see no one addressing is the reification of mathematics. This error goes all the way back to Plato, with his Forms. This, as I’m sure you know, held that there is a perfect or essential version of all real-world existents and those existents are merely approximations of the Forms here in the imperfect real world. Most importantly, Plato held that these Forms actually existed in some sort of transcendent world which we, as part of the imperfect world of appearances, have no access.

This is nonsense. It underlies a vast number of errors in thinking, not only in physics.

Modern physicists confuse, as Bill put it, the map with the territory. One common, glaring example is the interpretation of quantum physics that says that, for example, particles are literally their wave functions, which means that the math is real rather than descriptive. The truth is, of course, that we humans invented the mathematics to, as closely as possible, describe what we observe in reality. That this “map” we have created does such a remarkable, precise job of describing the “territory” is a gigantic accomplishment, very much to be admired.* But the mathematics remains a map; it exists solely as concepts in the minds of the humans who use it. There is no separate “realm” where it exists apart from those minds.

I don’t see any major progress happening in physics until its practitioners shift their perspective to fully realize that the map is most definitely not the territory, that reality does what it does regardless of how we describe it, and that our mathematical models, no matter how precise, are not reality itself. There are no Laws of Physicsโ„ข that the universe obeys, merely descriptions we have that vary in accuracy that we come up with to better understand what we observe.

*A great example of this is the description of entanglement on what’s known as a 7-sphere, which explains the phenomenon as fully local, with none of the “spooky action at a distance” that so bothered Einstein. (Disproof of Bell’s Theorem by Joy Christian) Do we live in a seven dimensional universe? No, not any more than we live in a 4 dimensional universe – the very concept “dimension” is yet another geometric abstract created by humans to describe reality, not a thing that actually exists.

I want to see the parallel universe episode of Left Angle where a goateed Steve is throwing a clean shaven Scott in The Agonizer for trying to assassinate Bill

Without a doubt, parallel dimensions and time rifts exist.
I have observed these at “fast food” establishments that mysteriously require 20 minutes to make a burger and fries. The interesting beings which inhabit these parallel dimensions and rifts often have multiple piercings and neck tattoos. Gene Roddenberry never concocted such creatures.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made everything beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

At the moment you read this reply and reread “your” comment, you are now meeting your past self. It is no longer you. Don’t forget to say hi to you. Next time leave instructions for future you.

To follow the meme I see on other youtube channels I watch… I was so early I was a member before there was a button. Depending on the timey-wimey (which is about all I know of Dr Who, besides daleks and exterminate!) I might have become a member before the web site (back when we were bouncing between domain names).

There is a lot about Einstein’s theory of General Relativity that many people and even scientists still do not comprehend even to this day or even the implications of it. Space/Time is one such concept. The very idea of Space/Time can not be appreciated until you understand that Space and Time do not exist separately but one is a component of the other. Time cannot exist without space or the other way around. The best definition of time is the interval or space between events so when we can define the smallest time we also have defined the smallest space. Now consider the Singularity and Big Bang. There was no before only an after. The Universe, all of it, became after the singularity which contained not only all the the stuff that would become matter but all of the Space and time. The Big Bang can also be imagined as more of a rapid unwinding as the expansion occurred. Another way to put it The Alpha and the Omega was contained within the Singularity and what we perceive as Time can only be experienced by the observer so in a way everything that happened and will happen was contained within that Singularity. This concept was first expressed thousands of years ago in a Passage that contained Let There Be Light.

It’s not a button! It’s a group of teeny leds emitting light some of us perceive to be green. You keep using that word button…….

Having gotten that completely cleared up, golly my head hurts from this episode. I just thought those nutrinos leaving Earth were the collective consciousness of leftist Hollywood actors and actresses (can I use that term anymore?) finally leaving the planet.

That was really great. Bill expressed very well what I can only feel.
That view of things makes me happy that some of what are called “My wild ideas” are actually a possible part of reality.
I feel sorry for those who do not have that part of ‘possible things’ but can only deal with the ‘right now in front of me’ world and so completely have no imagination actually scares me to some degree.
All trust carries some degree of the possibility it can be broken.
All love carries the possibility of it leaving.

I do not dell on this stuff but I am realist enough to know it exists and when it rears it’s ugly head in my life I am not without the ability function through it.

I have the ability to wonder what my choices kept me from experiencing. Would it be a good thing for this human to actually know?

Fundamental fact: a model is NOT the thing modeled and thus cannot and will not behave exactly as the thing modeled.

ALL math is a model. Thus even though your math says x, it does not mean that the thing modeled has property x. All you have done is shown your math has the property x. You have to show the thing modeled has the property x. Even if you show it, did you really? Show that you simply did not just find your confirmation bias. You looked for what you wanted to find and, Surprise!, you found it. Aren’t you Special?

Theoretical Physicists make models but don’t create the things they model. They create only models and provide complex verbal and graphic descriptions of what they have modeled. Yet, given all their millions of words, thousands of equations, and acres of graphics, all they can do is pretend all of this technobabble justifies their taking, at the point of the government gun, still more wealth from it creators and spend it on their very costly toys. This enables them to do more of the same.

THIS is the industrial government complex that we were warned about. It is here. Full blown and empty of results. They should get a real job, go to work, and earn their keep.

Texas is also composed of snakes. Lots of aggressive, poisonous snakes. Just a heads up to you NY’rs and Californians thinkin’ of moving here.

We have many of our own snakes, pal. Unfortunately they are mostly running our government.
