Bill talks about the hive mind or flash mob style problem analysis on the internets where a self-organizing group will come into existence to tackle a problem and then dissipate when it is over, like with the Rathergate debunking…
I think one of the locations that is going on with the current voter fraud is at Thedonald.win.
For those who don’t frequent it, you have members of this break-away Reddit domain spending thousands of dollars to buy up the relevant raw data for various battleground states (for example: https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8O8e13w/i-purchased-the-remaining-25025-/c and https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8Sn1ueO/-red-alert-they-stole-minnesota-/ ) You also have teams working on analysis and sharing it sandwiched in between juvenile posts about congratulating Michelle Obama on transvestite awareness week (for example: https://thedonald.win/u/PedeInspector/ and https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8qC6ita/–happening-calling-every-pede-h/ ). Note, examples are of cooperation, not Michelle Obama.
It looks like, however, they need help from non-autistic people who can sift through it for the gems and make them understandable to the general public (you can see their riveting presentation style here on some important analysis of 3rd party vote loss in MN: https://streamable.com/vd158c .
Update: now one of the teams at the Donald.win is posting that they need someone who knows video post-production to help them get the word out. Given Mr. Whittle often discusses such things I thought I’d point it out in case any of the people here who are into that wants to help them: https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8usjUur/-happening-111720-calling-every-/

A quick look on that site turned up this absolute gem. https://thedonald.win/p/11QRalNsKH/holy-trinity-/c/ Originally a picture produced, it seems, for the Boston Globe for some smear piece about gender, it seems that the left inadvertently got it right. John Wayne, Donald Trump and Jesus Christ are exactly the sort of role models that stand up for America.
John Wayne epitomises the idea of the manly man protecting the weak; Donald Trump wants to make America great again; and Jesus Christ.. well… I may as well quote scripture: “Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written.”
Yes, indeed, the left can’t meme. Maybe this is what they’re really complaining about when they claim that FB and/or Twitter are really right-wing platforms. They count up the memes for each side, and they lose in a landslide.
an interesting Update re: the Arizona sharpie incident: https://thedonald.win/p/11Q8urckQG/software-engineer-i-figured-out-/c/
I find that to be able to solve problems that have never been solved before, it takes an INDIVIDUAL who himself is a TEAM. Only individuals, learn, conceive of the new, think, and solve problems. Such an individual builds the box but doesn’t live in it. A multi-person team is at best a hydra headed monster incapable of thinking outside of the box in which it finds itself.
Have you never had some problem you couldn’t solve, or maybe didn’t even realize you made and someone else just walks up and points out the solution in seconds?
“Hey, did you know that word is misspelled / valve is set wrong / you could reduce part count by just flipping this bracket and reusing it…”
I have yet to solve the problem of communicating with people who intentionally misunderstand and distort what I say. I did not say I never made a mistake. I said I solved problems that have never been solved before. BIG DIFFERENCE! You had some reason to say I said I never made mistakes. THAT is your problem and not mine. If you never make mistakes, you never learn a thing.
Large teams tried to solve one problem I solved and couldn’t because teams live in a tiny box of their own construction. They are led by the strongest personality who is more concerned with controlling the team than actually addressing the problem. I do not do team work and I don’t need to. Perhaps for digging a ditch or building a house and some such. But that is just doing what has been done before and using a mob to get the work done.
Have I made mistakes? Yes. Many. I learned from them so I wouldn’t make them again. However, a misspelled word, valve set wrong, and reducing part count are not problems that have never been solved before. They are mistakes that require simple correction.
Chris didn’t say that you said you never made a mistake. Give his comment a re-read. He rhetorically asked if what he described has ever happened to you. Such things happen to us all from time to time.
So what if it happens to all of us? What does that have to do with solving problems that have never been solved before? Absolutely nothing.
He had a reason to bring up an irrelevant point. That reason was to imply I had never made a mistake. As if that is all that is required to destroy the validity of my statement. It doesn’t even scratch it. He could have asked me to prove it but was afraid that I could. In fact I can.
See digitome.net for a short review of a case in point. It has multiple US and foreign patents protecting it. To get even one patent takes something that is both novel and useful.
I also invented the first disposable biopsy needle, in 1967, that was and is still used around the world to save lives. It is sold at a fraction of the cost to reuse standard biopsy needles. Its first year of sales recovered millions more than the cost of its development. It was only two years from presented problem to payoff.
I like you, Lionel, but you too often completely misread and see things that just aren’t there.
You don’t have to say something explicitly to mean it.
I find it interesting, I am held to have said what I did not say but everyone else says exactly and only what they say. Double standard? Looks like it to me.
Do you really have to have double standards to have standards? If that is the case, you have no standards at all.
You forgot to mention that you are also a mind-reader.
Try looking at the principles behind what is said. When you do, you find there is a lot of information between the lines not explicitly said but clearly meant. Especially when you clearly go off topic to make your complaint.
While there is an element of management involved in a team, the opportunity for multiple viewpoints, ideas and backgrounds has been an emphatic benefit when I had a large body of staff in my company. One of our best ideas came from someone whose ‘job’ it was to stack chairs and clear the floor, but who nonetheless felt a part of the entire project team and gave far more than just fulfilling their role.
And the right angle of a hypotenuse is = to?
Two things:
